Re: Johnny Football vs Drew Brees
Bruh, I remember when he first was drafted. I went to this club down here in Mississippi in a city called Moss Point, which is pretty much the worse, most dangerous city in the state. The club had just opened back up because it was always getting shot up. And who do I see in there that night with his Raiders jacket on? Jamarcus Russell. I knew then it was over.

Looks like 2nd round was a reach too. He also says Manzeil will be a bust. |

Re: Johnny Football vs Drew Brees
What is Gil Brandts take on Manziel? He is probably the guy I'd listen the most to.

If you don’t have a quarterback, and you want one, I believe this guy has a great chance to be good for a long time. This guy had an inferior team. And he beat Alabama, he beat Oklahoma. He’s down 29 to Duke in the last game of his college career, and he’s on the sidelines saying, ‘There is no way we are going to lose.’ This guy’s a better version of Fran Tarkenton.” About Manziel’s love of the parties, Brandt said, “He’s had a chance to do some things, at age 18, 19, 20 and 21, because of the financial backing of his grandfather, but the more I’ve looked into him, I just don’t believe it’s going to hold him back from being really good. The one thing coach [Tom] Landry told me a long time ago is you look for the good, not for the bad.”
I will temper that... Gil Brandt also high on Tim Tebow and said he was the top of his draft class at #1... |

Re: Johnny Football vs Drew Brees
He is a human highlight reel. Have you ever seen the movie Johnny B. Good with Anthony Micheal Hall? Pretty much the same... Youtube has a crap load of film on him... He does favor the right half of the field a lot though...

Re: Johnny Football vs Drew Brees
He may have the talent but I don't know if he has the work ethic required to be really good like Drew.

if not so what as long as he is not in the black and gold. i do not see any of the QB's in the RG3 or Luck skills set so i am stumped on the hype they are getting. but thats just me please do not pick him is all i can say if he falls plus the kid has not even stepped into an nfl locker room much less put on an nfl jock strap so why compare him to anyone in the NFL? |
