The NFL has taken back a $21,000 fine against New Orleans Saints safety Rafael Bush following a successful appeal, according to his agent Brian Anderson.

"I just realized it took me 3 months to appeal my last fine yep can I have my 21 back now thank you," Bush tweeted Wednesday night."

Bush was fined for a hit against Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin in their NFC divisional playoff game in January. He was penalized 15 yards for a hit to a defenseless receiver, which caused the Harvin to leave the game to be tested for a concussion.

Harvin returned to the game, but later left again for good after hitting the turf following an incomplete pass.

"Anybody know me knows I play fast and physical but it's all good y'all have a blessed day," Bush tweeted after the game.

So the NFL "took back" the fine? Am I the only one that is confused a bit? So did he get his coin back or not?! Cause if the league took it back that means they still have it!

If you go to the link the article is titled "rescinds", not "takes back".

Seems they caught the error, I copied and pasted the headline with out edit. The URL from the OP has "takes back" as well LOL!

Seems like an editor finally got around to reading it.

Too bad they can't recind the 3 points that directly resulted from that play.

Its all about making the point straight after the game.
Look how many players say the money was never taken for fines or players that win on appeal. This just allows the front office to make out that they are cracking down on big hits to the outside world while not actually enforcing anything. The league knows the fans want big hits, the players want to play hard and fast but in a era of player safety they need to show they are doing something, even if they really are not.

All this tells me is that it never should have been flagged and certainly not fined in the first place.
