Re: RB Pierre Thomas fighting for his Saints future
i recently heard after the draft that Sean Payton was very interested in 6ft2 235 lb tailback Jeremy Hill from LSU. We traded Sproles and didnt draft or sign a scat back to fill his role. We also signed possibly the best lead blocking FB in the NFL Eric Lourig from Tamba. This is because we are going to see a new Saints offense. Smash mouth power football and playaction looking for Cooks, Stills or Graham going deep. i dont even think well see even Cadet much on third down.

Re: RB Pierre Thomas fighting for his Saints future
This is nothing new to PT.
2007 - Undrafted.... Questionable future. 2008-2009 Reggie was supposed to be the star. 2010 - missed 10 weeks for crazy ankle or leg injury that no one could sort out. Questionable future. 2011- Ingram drafted..... Sproles brought in... Couldn't have made him confident about his position. Pierre fkn Thomas has never coasted or had a chance to coast. He is a constant and consistent earner and worker. |

Re: RB Pierre Thomas fighting for his Saints future
Timothy Flanders looks like a candidate to replace Ingram next year not PT. Ingram is on thin ice and i see him as a long shot to be resigned next year. I do not blame Ingram but injury history and the lack of flexibility in the offense is really killing his chances. scheme fit or what ever it just aint working out
