But it's about as good as you get; though I'd like to have had McCullers, the mammoth NT from Tennessee with either that fifth or sixth round pick to develop inline this season...

Yup. That could help out there for sure. Brees is also most likely going to get an extension after this season that will also free up considerable cap space for that purpose.

It is going to happen. Brees was quoted recently that he felt he could play at the same level into his 40's. With the way he works and the recent advances I have no doubt. Brees at his age is in FAR better physical condition than Manning at the same age.
