PFT still thinks we have a lack of talent on defense

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; That's asinine. 4 potential all pro plus a future hall of fame CB. Yea no talent there. I would say we almost have less talent on offense than defense....

No "almost" about it. We definitely have more talent on defense than we do on offense.

Laughingly, they rank the Packers at #5, despite admitting the Packers defense is terrible and admitting that their overall roster is "JV" caliber (their words, not mine).

How is it a step back in personnel when you rid yourself of the worst (2012) safety tandem in NFL history in Harper and Jenkins and now have potentially the best three safety rotation in the league in Vacarro, Byrd and Bush?!?

LOOK AT THE SOURCE...
Were Jenkins/Harper worse then Tebucky Jones/Jay Bellamy or Josh Bullocks/Dwight Smith?

It merits asking...especially since Byrd's surgery was precautionary and he is 100%.
Actually that is one concern I agree with. We don't know if he is 100% or not. Even if he is 100% the fact that the surgery was so recent the injury could get reaggravated easily. On the other hand I have a hard time believing Loomis would have brought him in with a contract like that if he thought he was an injury risk.

I think 6 is fair. Maybe a little low. But we have a chance to be really really good

Re: PFT still thinks we have a lack of talent on defense

biggest concern is not the outside of the defense it is the middle. the saints did little to nothing at all to improve the depth on the dL or at MLB.

lets hope the question marks get answered during camp and some gems step up

Statistically, yes...

In 2012 they led the worse defense ever...

Jenkins/Harper were better than you or I but even that bell curve doesn't make them good...

We got better when Vaccaro took PT away from an "injured" Harper and when Bush replaced Jenkins; add Byrd, your comparing apples to turds...
blackangold and K Major like this.

Don't we also get a pretty good linebacker back named Butler and a rookie corner to add depth. Dude is a straight hater. Barring injury we will win the superbowl and I cant wait to see the look on Rogers fake ass face.

Ummmm I think after hitting gold with Brees Loomis takes way more risks on injured players.
