Come on guys, this isn't even a close call.
Xan, it's actually "Marry yer Sister/Momma/Grammaw. Totally acceptable condiment for ol' Rog...

(New York) The National Football League announced today they have copyrighted the phrase, “No Fun League”. According to league sources, they copyrighted the phrase for two main reasons. They first considered doing it in order to increase their revenues even more as the use of this phrase has now come into common use across the fan base. Secondly, their pool of lawyers has become so adept at frivolous lawsuits regarding other copyrighted infringements that the league feels pursuit of damages in this regard will be easier than taking candy from a baby. When asked for comment, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell replied, “If you can’t beat’em, really beat’em.”

On a further note, the league also announced the phrase, “Taking candy from a baby,” is now going to be changed to, “Easy as heck” because it could be construed as promoting domestic violence to some viewers.

I thought it was pretty stupid and distracting to begin with.

There is a lot of potential here for this thing turning into a smashed beehive. Everybody in NO already hates him for one. Now he decides to attack our culture and deem it offensive. Hey RG, somebody just skipped slapping their momma and shot their chest to preserve their brain for research...look in the effin mirror.

Maybe the bees calm down, who knows but if he starts banning shirts or whatever else, that's pure nitrogen on a bonfire.

If he were smart he'd stop at the field endorsement ban . He's not smart.

These are the same idiots who took phrases like "knock their heads off" literally and suspended the entire gulf south region for it.

They were apparently raised on a planet where everyone is morally perfect and don't know the first thing about slang or sarcasm, or rhetorical statements. CLEARLY this other world must exist, because I have never known anyone in my life who couldn't understand these incredibly simple and harmless sayings.

As long as we can even remember the scourge of hanging black people in the South -- "Hang A Boy", the white supremacist clothing line, isn't going to be OK, either.

If you think even humorously alluding to slapping your mother is funny -- you are a knuckle-dragger. Domestic violence in the country is a pervasive problem. Our language matters because it can subtlety transmit the approval of discrimination and the perception of inequality.

White people can't call black people the N-word either -- that's just how it is -- maybe you should try to get used to it. I assume you gentlemen here understand why -- and no -- it isn't because some large man might beat the living snot out of you.

Let's see if you can get used to being on the right-side of history and this particular issue.

And, please don't tell me I don't understand -- because I am from New Orleans.

Precisely the train of thought that got it banned.

The branding "Slap ya mama" is so absurd you can't interpret it anyway other than humorous. It does not allude yo abusing your mother, if your from South Louisiana then you know even looking at your mother from the side of your eye would get you a world of hurt. It alludes to how delicious her cooking would be if she used the seasoning.... Back slapping, slap on the back good.

But hey... I'm with you, let's ride the train to LunacyVille USA.

These get banned as well. No sense promoting any sort of beat or beet.
Beats By Dr Dre Studio NFL New Oreans Saint High Definition On E :

We can proactively take it one step further and from this point on the word "hit" can never be used in regards to anything NFL again. We shall replace it with "spirited contact".

"Jeff, did you see that spirited contact that Gallette had with Matt Ryan!"

It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see. ~ Henry David Thoreau
