The Roughing the QB penalty on Hicks
Ok I agree that his suplex throw of Luck was a penalty. But if the refs are REALLY interested in protecting the QB, they should have called "in the grasp" when Jordan had him wrapped up. That would have immediately stopped the play. I guess even the refs are still in preseason form

I always thought they whistled the play dead when the ball carriers forward motion was stopped.

Re: The Roughing the QB penalty on Hicks
If he didn't body slam him no flag
Cant do that to a qb Ingram was slammed pretty good on a nice run |
Re: The Roughing the QB penalty on Hicks
Refs are in preseason too but if they continue to be so not picky networks are going to be pissed when games are going into 4 hours.

Re: The Roughing the QB penalty on Hicks
The refs suck and make me think that their mother has a bet on the game or something.

Re: The Roughing the QB penalty on Hicks
Ya can't slam a QB like that. It'll get flagged every time.
And why couldn't Junior bring Luck down? |
Re: The Roughing the QB penalty on Hicks
Hicks was in beast mode last night. I think they slowed him down with those penalties. Loved his hustle. The O-line of other teams better beware, our D-line is the real thing.

Looking at the play, leverage (seemed to me Cam had little); plus Andrew Luck is a big boy: Hicks had him all wrapped up and could not bring him down either without going Ndomikong on Luck. |
