Sure he gets hurt a lot, but so does Robinson. Which reminds me... he's hurt AGAIN. So what was it about Robinson that made him more deserving? Not a thing. (insert obligatory "the coaches know better than you" comments).

Of course they do. That's why we keep a terrible corner and watch him get torched every year. Because clearly what I'm seeing is just my imagination as a stupid fan.

I would be giving Greer a call right now and see if he can get a prosthetic or something and suit up.

I am more baffled about the coverage design. Re-watching the game we had everyone playing 10yds off 90% of the game. Last season we play press-man coverage, puzzled on the change.

The staff didn't feel like Bailey would start over Robinson so they let Bailey go. I personally can't see how anyone could play worse than Robinson. White actually is better. He will make an occasional good play. SJB surely wouldn't be any worse. Heck, Dixon would give more effort without a doubt. I would go as far as saying Sunseri would look better at CB than Robinson. And when I say these things, I've watched every game PRob has played in the NFL. He has the physical skills but it simply doesn't translate into a good football player.

And this is what Mike Mayock talked about when we drafted P. Rob. Body like Tarzan but plays like Jane. He was the reason we lost the season opener against Green Bay in 2011. Aaron Rogers picked on him the entire opening drive and P.Rob kept playing 10 yrds off the line of scrimmage. Its time to realize that he will never be anything more than an athletic tease. Remember he got abused by The Ravens backup QB in the preseason finale. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing repetitively and expecting the outcome to be different.

a new week starts monday morning with Rob Ryan and the defense sitting through the tapes eating crow wrapped in the off season press clips they all collected

week 2 the defense needs to be hungry and out to prove this week was a fluke. same attitude they had last year.

The way people are singling out Robinson, you'd think every guy on the defense was wearing a #21 jersey out there.

Keenan Lewis got his ass lit up too. Galette just signed a bajillion dollar contract and barely got any pressure on the QB. D-line in general got no pressure. Byrd was lined up so far back he looked like he was getting ready to return a punt, and Vacarro looked nothing like the same guy from last year. And hell, the Falcons just have a really good offense when everybody is healthy.

But it's all Patrick Robinson's fault. LOL. Sure.

Comments like these riddle message boards all over the world. It's been said 100 million times that the defense sucked. But somebody mentions a specific player and it starts a conversation about said player, and somebody comes at the end of it and says "it's more than one player guys!". Yes... We know. And yet Patrick Robinson remains the worst defender on the field. Fair enough?
