Even when we do get pressure of the QB we still allow him to escape the pocket, the D line is not working together
Akiem hicks needs to get a bigger push upfront so the QB cannot step up or escape through the line, that in turn will let junior and Cam get to him from the outside. |

there in lies the issue i think. we seem so aggressive in trying to get sacks we lose our lane assignments and the OL just rides us out of the play and open up escape routes for the QB![]()
this is coaching and stressing the basics. need to get back to the basics and those over glorified sack stats will come. i would rather no sacks and be in the QBs face all game long than this reckless abandon attacking defense we are running now. once again it goes back to coaching |
