Champ played for 18 snaps of game 3. He had 1 tackle. He wasn't thrown at.
Champ played for 19 snaps of game 4. He had 1 tackle. He was thrown at twice and gave up one reception for 7 yards. Doesn't look like he was a big part of how the Saints looked during pre season. |

this is coaching and stressing the basics. need to get back to the basics and those over glorified sack stats will come. i would rather no sacks and be in the QBs face all game long than this reckless abandon attacking defense we are running now. once again it goes back to coaching |

Re: After further Review: Examining why the Saints defense stinks
For all you people that want to blame the offense for the two losses. In the first 2 weeks of NFL games only 4 games were lost when the offense scored 24 points or more. The Saints were 2 of the 4.
Also for you Drew haters out there. Did you watch the pick 6 play? Drew was hit as he threw causing the ball to go high. Also if Jimmy gave as much effort on that play as he did later in his touchdown catch he should have/could have either caught the ball (it went right through his hands) or at least knocked it down. |

Yea, our LBs are bad. Where has Gallette been? I'd like to see us bring the safeties up and play aggressively. I realize we'd probably get beaten deep a ton but at least we'd be trying.

Right now he reminds me of Randy Moss in his prime. Best pass catcher in the league but definetely taking some plays off. Why Jimmy?
