Yeah probably the ones who have played on this team with Sean Payton for years and contributed to the organization at a decent rate, then Graham and Byrd come in with monster contracts and eat up all the money so they can't get help at positions needed to return to the SuperBowl. Yea I totally agree and posted something real similar last night except I sort of blamed it all on JG.(unfair of course but). He was very outspoken about disliking the release of Sproles and Vilma. Plus he's still mad at Brees because after Brees signed his huge deal he went on ESPN and campaigned for the Saints to be able to pay JG as a TE. Then he said if we lost Graham because we couldn't sign him, we'd be fine without him.

I only got to watch two partial games and some highlights and somewhat agree, it just didn't look like the Saints I've grown accustomed to since 2011 or so ... remember thinking at one point they looked like they were still in pre-season mode. Whatever it is, I still gotta' think Payton will pull them out of their funk ... at this point,

I gotta' tell you guys (again), this whole situation just smacks of yet another similarity between the Lions/Saints. It's almost identical to the situation Detroit has gotten themselves into with Suh's contract, except they didn't have the premium talent to jettison,

... but it has still tied their hands enough for them to finally realize that they'd probably be better off letting him go & get more value for those contract dollars.

Since you both called it out, I'll share what I know. I have an inside-the-organization source (legit) who says there are 2-3 factions in the locker room.

PT is disgruntled as hell about being buried on the depth chart and "shopped around" twice.

So some are pissed some are like "f-it, I'm getting mine" but overall Payton is losing the respect of a lot of players. Quickly.

That's some scary dramatic **** there. If Payton loses the locker room, the season is already over.

Thanks for the info. Something doesn't look right on the field and maybe they just don't have each others back like they used to.

We need an ass-kicker in the locker room to nip this in the bud. I can't help but think someone with Vilma's stature is sorely needed. It wouldn't hurt to bring him in as a position coach where he could still influence these guys.

Coach Payton has to know whats going on. He should take care of it from the coaching ranks. Rob Ryan seems like he's too much of a players coach to smack someone upside their head.

Then again, maybe its time to part ways with some of these malcontents. Stay young and stay hungry.

Man, that's terrible. I hope your source (legit) is wrong. But it does fit with the way they've been playing.

I'm sure we all work with people we don't like but we're professional enough to still do the best job we can.

I have thought this type of thing, too. In fact I wonder if there may actually be two or three smaller separate things going on internally right now. John Jenkins is "healthy" but doesn't make the trip?? Why so few "rainbow" deep shots from Brees anymore, these days? And where the heck is Pierre Thomas?

To me this game was eerily reminiscent of the Saints/Broncos game in 2012, where fan hopes were high and the wheels totally fell off, in the middle of the road, for all to see.

Unfortunately "something internal is wrong with the team" is kinda what I'm smelling. There is clearly a disconnect between what is happening inside the Saints locker room/coaching bubble, and what is happening out on the field. Not sure if it's Payton-related, Ryan-related, or something else.

Colston and jimmy almost seem like they are intentionally not catching passes. Colston's no targets a couple of weeks ago and his demeanor seem to also be passive aggressive. I really think there is locker room mutiny going on.
