I had not heard this about him...
NICK THE DICK IS FOLLOWING HIS M.O. With recent reports (see Profootballtalk.com) that LSU Coach Nick Saban is now having second thoughts in taking the Fins job (is it because most of the players there have said that they would ask for a trade if he lands there?), several of our NFL sources have told us that such backing off/wishy-washiness is typical Saban behavior. As one NFL suit remarked: "This guy always wants people to beg him to take their job . . . he likes people kissing his ass all the time . . . as soon as he heard of a possible player revolt if he took the Miami job I'm sure he went behind the teams' back and try to snoop for another gig so that the 'Nick your great' parade could start again somewhere else." Another NFL guy who is familiar with Saban calls him "a guy who has one agenda -- himself -- and he uses his chronies around the NFL to push that song -- he's a fu--in' phony." His title as King Bull**** is even mocked in his college town newspaper. We hear if the Miami gig doesn't go down then Nick the Dick will angle for the Saints job -- and use the fact that both the Saints and LSU deal with the state of Louisiana on a continuing basis to skirt that "you basically can't take another job after January 1" limitation in his LSU contract. |
