Brooks looking for a new deal?

Brooks\' ego has always been out of hand.
I remember on a Fox television interview a few years ago, Brooks saying that he played with a grudge because he thought he was drafted too late. When asked how he compared to the other qb\'s in that class, he said he was the best. That class includes Donovan McNabb, and Dante Culpepper.
Nobody knows for sure what goes on inside of Brooks\' head, but I think the hamster left the wheel a long time ago.

Hey guys, sorry there hasn\'t been anyone in this thread to support AB yet. You see, I haven\'t posted, but now that I have, the Musketeers should swing in to AB\'s rescue! Go get \'em boys.

Win or lose I don\'t like the guy. Wonder how much of that ego has been displayed to his teamates on a daily basis and how much does it effect the effort and play of others?

Brooks looking for a new deal?

thats just ridiculious for him to say that. if he wont play for more moeny then goodbye. 6 million a season is plenty for the play we get from him. he is not a great qb and doesnt deserve to be payed like one. if he wants more money stepo it up a notch

i read the artcile but i dont see it at all meaning he wants more money. nothing even remotely like that. i think what he was saying is if the fans or coaches dont want me ill move on. thats all it was about. nice attempt to make it into more but it really wasnt

Wait spk, didn\'t you tell me that I bash Brooks in another thread? Are all these other folks bashing Brooks also? did you read the part about him calling himself a \"Great qb\" and the team is struggling and inconsistent? I am just wondering what your thoughts are on out qb, who calls himself great, poo-pooing on the rest of the team.

I posted that article in the \"just so I can understand the rules\" thread. He calls himself GREAT, and the TEAM is inconsistent and struggling. What a great guy. But I am wrong for not liking him as our qb. Go figure.
he IS our qb and if ur a fan u should support him also. I know he makes some dumb statements and sometimes dumb plays, but he is probably the best qb we have had. In a round about way he is putting the blame where it belongs....on the o-line. Look at tape from one of these games and see how much longer the qb\'s have to throw. chargers, broncos, panthers, and even the raiders(all day)

I support our TEAM Venturi, not just individual players, although I do have my favorites. If a member of this TEAM has delusions of grandeur and a salary that don\'t match his performance, I am not obligated to support that player to the detriment of my team. I feel Brooks is a detriment to the TEAM. Doesn\'t matter if he is my qb. Along those lines, we should all have supported Steve Walsh, both Billy Joes and Heath Shuler no matter how bad they were cause they were our TEAM\'s qb. You can\'t tell me that\'s true can you?

Also having gone to a game where the o-line absolutely was not the problem and Brooks was, I put little stock in a \"leader\" who will throw the rest of his TEAM under the bus. I don\'t want a guy like that collecting a large salary on the TEAM I love.
