Actually glad we lost by such a margin. Another close loss and many would be papering over the cracks thinking we are still good or have a chance.

This performance shows where we are really at and that is a long way off the pace. Forget about winning NFC South, the way we are playing we will be lucky to win another game this season.
Crusader and jeanpierre like this.

Re: Should heads roll?

I have been watching some of the earlier games from this season again and after yesterdays loss to the Bengals some things are getting really clear for me. Nothing works on this team right now, not even the things that seems to work.

Take the running game as an example. Ingram are having the best year of his career and the running games seems to be on the up. In reality however our running is quite inneffective. We have a lot of situations where rushing on first and second down nets us about 2 yards and we are facing a 3 and 8 that is a lot tougher than a 3 and 3.

Evans and Grubbs are supposed to be two pro bowl guards but they are playing like this was pop warner. No real push in the running game and just way to much pressure allowed up the middle. Goodwin are to blame for the pressure too, he looks weaker and slower than before and gets beat in ways he didn't use to. If make a shift at the C position right now.
Our tackles are currently the strength on our OL and thats a problem in an offence based on the OL being solid in the middle.

We get no individual production from our DL, at all. With individual production I mean a DT or DE beating his man to create pressure, sacks or making the tackle in the backfield on a run. Galette looks like he got paid and Jordan looks overmatched. Hicks don't have nearly the same get-off as last year.

Vaccaro has a sophmore slump for the ages. I have yet to see an impact play from him this year. Corey White looks like he is trying really really hard but he just isn't very good. I'd rather have P-Rob there instead and thats saying something.

Our ST just plain sucks. Except for graham, he is allright. Just wished he had a stronger leg. Speaking of strong legs, Morstead needs to hit more kicks out of the back of the end-zone to eliminate returns because teams choose to return agianst us from 7-8yds deep because our team don't cover very well.
Have we had a single punt return this year?

W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.
