Re: 2015 draft??

this guy will end up at RT and then be be moved to guard when all is said and done. he can not handle a speed rush.

Round 1 - OT La'el Collins, LSU (Sr); 6' 5", 321lbs

oh we will be picking hire than this. he is a late 20a pick at best

Brandon Scherff OT Iowa

Second best
Cedric Ogbuehi OT Texas A&M

Third option
Trae Waynes CB Michigan

I'd like to see Lelito play centre the rest of the way to see if we need to draft a centre or not.

I'd like to see the centre of the defensive line filled. Look at it like a central spine of NT and ILB's. If we ca stop teams through the middle and start covering the short passing routes with the ILB it will give the rush that extra second to start getting pressure which inturn helps the secondary.

Re: 2015 draft??

The Saints need to draft more bread and butter players from well known programs and established schools. Too many reaches and projects and grasping at exotic butterflies. I'm getting tired of all these players from places like John Jay Haircutting School, Walden College and University of Saskatoon. Give me some good old fashioned SEC road graders or cornfed Big 12 plumpers for the O line, and big tough mean defensive guys from proven places like Mizzou, LSU, Bama, Notre Dame, Michigan -- places that actually produce football talent. They've definitely outsmarted themselves with some of these reach picks.

Re: 2015 draft??

MLB McKinney, Miss State w/1st Round Pick -- he is a proven commodity for the last 2 years in the SEC West. We pick up MLB DePriest, Bama or MLB A.J. Johnson, Tenn w/4th-to-6th Round Pick (depending on their respective combine results & interviews).

You want to get serious about this linebacker thing, you get some proven run stoppers AND coverage linebackers from the best conference against the best competition on the biggest stages. You want to get serious on building a strong Front 7, you get some proven talent at MLB. Sending out a flyer like that 4th round pick on Fortt to shore up your ILB problems has proven to be both stupid and stupider.

We're right in the middle of SEC country who are cranking out proven NFL defensive talent year after year after year, yet we've drafted only 8 SEC players of the 53 players drafted during Payton's tenure since 2006. Of those 8, only Marvin Mitchell (7th Round, 2007) is no longer playing after 7 seasons with 3 teams.

Also, if we pick up a CB, S, or WR with any picks that we have to move up to get or that isn't an obvious BPA I'm pretty sure I'll throw my T.V. out the window.

I would love to see him in a saints uniform but as the season moves on and losses pile up I have to face facts here. we will be picking in the top 15 and with the high probability we will be pushing towards the top ten.

We maybe the highest picking Division Champ in NFL History

Now if the Saints would for once approach the draft with the idea of getting picks instead of giving them away i could see this pick. I like him but in no way is he the talent of a C. J. Mosley.

Trade back and pick McKinney

maneuver around the second and get additional picks and walk away with my two favs at man CB for that round

CB Charles Gaines
CB Kevin Johnson

CB Kevin White is my third if we were to go CB later in the draft. He is more a slot guy IMO

Now I would love it. two rounds and two of the biggest needs filled right out of the gate and extra picks still in our pocket.

but alas this is the saints we are talking about here. Drafting to help solve cap issue? nah that concept does not computer.

I'm not high on Lelito, although as a back-up I would keep. I totally agree with the rest. Our middle is the weakest and has been for some time.

That wouldn't happen though... By winning the division and making the playoffs we would be picking in the 20's regardless of our record.

Awwww i was wondering if there was any way to make winning the south any more of a joke than it already would be. ;)

Then McKinney it would be.

I still want my second

CB Kevin Johnson Wake Forest

I truly believe he can step in day one and take over the #2 opposite of Lewis.
