This is about what I had for last draft. Except I had CB#1 (wanted Verett who went to SD the pick before ours at 26), QB higher (wanted Murray of Georgia in the 4th).

Wanted Richburg for Center but he went too early in the 2nd. Other than Cooks (who I didn't think we be there at 26 and didn't see us moving up that far), I thought we'd get some nice WRs much later.

Cooks was the only one to trade up for, I thought. My other 2 favorites were CB Verrett and LB Borland.

If we hadn't traded up for WR, I was hoping for overlooked Landry in the 3rd and hoped for overlooked Abbredis in the 5th and Janis maybe in the 7th or and (lo and behold) they were both there then and Green Bay took both. GB isn't afraid to take white WRs.

I'm satisfied with Lelito (and wondering why he's not starting after seeing Goodwin allowing a sack and getting pushed back on some run plays last game). Could not figure out why we didn't get OL depth, especially ROT. Harris was terrible again on the pass.

Now I hope for

ILB
CB
QB
OLB
ROT
G/C

I think we sign a FA CB

Re: 2015 draft??

OLB K.J. Wright still gets my vote for FA

Earlier I posted I wouldn't take a NT in the first and then I posted the above list which was done prematurely, before my final edit (which is why I shouldn't post when I'm call in the middle of the night at the office)...

Meant to post this as a Trade Back Alternative...

Round 1 - Trade Back

Round 2 - NT Malcolm Brown, Texas (Jr); 6' 4", 325lbs

Round 2 - LB Jake Ryan, Michigan (Sr); 6' 3", 235 lbs

Round 3 - FS Kurtis Drummond, Michigan St (Sr); 6' 1", 200 lbs

Round 3 - OG Jarvis Harrison, Texas A & M (Sr); 6' 3", 325 lbs

Round 4 - LB A. J. Johnson, Tennessee (Sr); 6' 2", 242 lbs

Round 5 - OL B. J. Finney, Kansas (Sr); 6' 4", 303 lbs

Round 6 - DE Henry Anderson, Stanford (Sr); 6' 7", 295 lbs

Round 7 - OL Eric Lefeld, Cincinnati, (Sr); 6' 6", 315 lbs

At the end of the day, we've got to get better, younger, faster stronger, affordable personnel on the offensive line and and in the defensive front seven, and really up the middle; and we're gonna need more than seven picks to get it started...

Have had serious doubts about the Jarius Byrd signing with regards to health and I don't see that changing...

Don't list a CB because rather see us sign a proven, healthy veteran as we did with Lewis to complement same...

Gotta feeling Loomis will end up re-signing Roll Tide, so that's why I didn't list a RB, which I believe should be taken in later rounds if we did so...

Bunkley looks done, so NT to rotate with Jenkins, who I think is still injured, would do wonders to shore up the front...

We need some depth at DE, especially with Hicks possibly leaving soon...

What has Lorig done wrong aside from getting injured?

I thought he looked sharp in Pittsburgh.

Haven't been impressed at all with him...

Once he was back, he wasn't playing until Austin Johnson (nice find) got hurt that he saw more playing time and then he had some gaffes...

The fumble in the Green Bay game...

Missed lead blocks that saw Roll Tide get busted in the backfield...

We should have been signing younger offensive linemen, and defensive front seven, maybe younger cornerbacks with the energy we put into signing BigFoot...

Not rooting against the guy, just not impressed with the money we committed to a free agent full back...

Collins might actually still be on the board

Re: 2015 draft??

1. NT
2. C(there is a guy playing G that is a natural C
3. ILB
4. RT
5. DT( much needed depth)
6. G ( to groom, I think we let 1 G go, a C and RT will help out tremendously with a serviceable new G
7. It's deep at lb. this year and with a 3rd rounder next to Lofton so with this I would roll the dice on a OLB.
I would like to set up a trade this year.

See I can not go there. Talent wise this is a draft that looks really to good at CB almost through the third. If we do not get a CB early i give up on this front office

I see up to maybe 6 solid man cover CB in this draft with some solid zone and hyped upside types mixed in to spread these players out all over the board. To get a better prospect than SJB was last year would be a huge mistake.

this is not a year not to go after a solid #2 CB prospect IMO.

should be able to start from day 1 at #2 spot

1-2
Trae Waynes
P.J. Williams
Charles Gaines
Kevin Johnson
Marcus Peters

Equal to if not better than SJB coming out of school
3-5
Byron Jones
D’Joun Smith
Kevin White

just to name a few

after CB i have to go RT
