2005 Offseason Needs
move loomis up, out, somewhere. get a real football guy. some say haz needs more stroke in personnel. i dunno, i think he is too enamored by athletes ala tebucky, devery, etc. venturi out is a given. mccarthy has his pluses but when i can tell what play is coming by the alignment and motion, i gotta think professionals must too.
brooks is flakey but talented. teams have won it all with less (jim mcmahon comes to mind). if he could be moved avoiding big cap hit and another experienced qb (brees, hasslebeck, ie) attained then okay. not time for a project. sign deuce, stecker is an excellent back-up/role player sign horn, showed more this year than ever. that said, picking colbert over henderson might have made this debatable. solid group. maybe conwell has some locker room leadership but he looks done on the field to me. more boo i spose but why does he have to act as if every catch he makes is a game winning one? a top free agent and/or draft pick at T would be fine. i think riley pissed me off more than any other player this yr. was it me or did he really look fatter n fatter? gandy a leader supposedly but certainly fell off. howard certainly is a dilema with 3 quality des. franchise or transition him then trade him? certainly worth a 2nd pick bare minimum. write sullivan down in the annals of the vaughn dunbars, rick middletons, and my namesake. he may be the worst ever considering 2 #1s given up. not even friggin active! whoever pushed for him and stinchcomb should be barred from the draft room. oops, hit a nerve there. i like the youngsters at LB. sign hodge if cheap enough. definitely could use a big name veteran free agent here as much as i like some of the backers in this draft class. mckenzie is the real deal as he showed after healing and learning the system. fahkir showed he might could do the job. a top pick here for competition and depth seems most logical. i knew when bellicheck lets a guy go for mid round draft picks there had to be issues. so let\'s sign him to top FS pay! tebucky typlifies this team more than anyone else- athletic, talented, ERRATIC. i think we are stuck with him tho capwise. how come mel mitchell didnt step up? bellamy is journeyman at best. i dunno if the money and picks could reach far enough to help here. --my 2 cents |
