Right, and why do they pay scouts again for? If it's up to the coordinators only why does every team have scouting departments?

Re: Saints thinking about life after Drew Brees

scouting depts report to the coordinators.

it is the coordinators job to take the reports and and rank the players.

The scouts will beat on desks for players they really like and try to get them moved up the board with the coordinators,

the final ranking of players is reached with the final agreement of the coordinators.

when the draft is going on if a coordinator really wants a player it can get comical by all reports.

that is were SP and Mickey have the final call as to what is best for the club.

but in no way does the coordinator get stuck with players and told to make it work.

Re: Saints thinking about life after Drew Brees

RG3 is still a topic? love his deep ball but that is about it. then damaged goods and locker room chemistry issues? pass. give a troubled RB first.

If we were to take a QB to develop my vote goes to Brett Hundley UCLA. He is a solid prospect that needs a few years to develop. think Aron rogers time frame here without the first round cost. second round

I rather let RG3 sit and develop behind Brees. He can also heal his body. I believed in RG3 before the draft. I believe in him now. Injuries stifled him so far.

RG3 looked pretty damn good when he put up 400 yards of offense in his first career start against us

Brees retires as a Saint after 2017 season unless the Texans want to trade JJ Watt for him next year.

Give Brees one year of decent protection and see if this conversation is still valid.
