I would owe the site and Rob a huge apology. IMO an approach like this to the drafting makes no sense whats so ever and would make me really worried about the front office organization as a whole. Basic ideology is completely flawed. |

But my issue with player personnel as you have him is the basic job description does not fit it really. I always viewed them as the Chatty Cathy's of the NFL. they know all the dirty. that is their job. A NFL Social Butterfly Society member Or "THE" Executive Secretary. I never really viewed him as the person who selects anyone. but i am sure there are times when he has the swaying statement or two. his research gathering must be flawless and his source must be solid. or your sunk. So in no way do i minimize his role in any off this. he is huge in getting every thing ready for the off season If the GM, OC or DC want more info on players he is the guy to get it. just do not ask him to get the coffee. ![]() Who is the Pro Personnel Director? | National Football Post One of an agents’ best friends is the Pro Personnel Director. We need him to have a positive opinion about our clients, we need him to get our client a workout when he’s on the street, and help sell his value internally when doing a contract. One of the most understated jobs in the NFL is the Pro Personnel Director. On paper, his job is to know every relevant player in the league who can possibly become available in any capacity and help his team. The Pro Director doesn’t get to make a lot of moves. The ones that he does make can make the difference of a team making the playoffs, having solid back-ups, and making sure that the bottom half of the roster is competitive and can fill in when a star player is hurt. However, this position is at times under managed, mismanaged and the wrong man can do more harm than good to his team. Who is the Pro Personnel Director? | National Football Post GM - i understand his role and to Mickey's credit he has done a solid job. It can not be easy when both DC and OC want a pick and refuse to budge As soon as i get a response or two i will post it |
