Hate to disappoint but he is going to walk. We won't have the money to sign him, and if we were to spend that kind of money on a RB then you might as well spend a bit more to get Peterson. I love Ingram but knowing how this organization is with RBs I think he is gone.

We might have the money to sign him if the cap hits the heights some are suggesting. Some talks a few months back that the new TV deals will push the cap to $150ml.
If that's the case I would ideally see the team use the money taking hits on some big deals and making the ling term future better.

In case no one has noticed but not a single one of our RB's has stayed healthy this year so the not staying healthy applies to all RB's not just Ingram.

But the others are not looking for a multi million dollars extension.

I do think the Loom is should extend Robinson now if he can rather than risk loosing Ingram this year and Robinson next year

LOL, I hear you but most of those failed attempts have to be put on the O-line, he didn't even have a chance.

Do that and it solves some of the O/L problem ... you really won't need one, other than to keep Drew upright.

I believe he has coach feeling frustrated and angry. When I see these two interact Payton always looks like he's about to lose it. I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling when I see these two together. His excessive celebrations and subsequent penalties didn't endear him to coach either. Oh, and I can't recall the last time a team mate talked to him on the side line except immediately after a big play. I'm not saying that I am a psychologist or an expert in human relationships....I just tend be observant.

And the thug mentality that I refer to is the big shows he puts on after a first down when we are getting blown out. I'm also referring to his excessive celebrations which hurt the team because of his stupid penalties. He has as yet to show me anything besides that thug mentality.

And finally.............Hell no I'm not an Auburn fan! I bleed Crimson baby. However, they are both fine institutions of higher learning.
I liked Ingram a lot coming out of Alabama. I was excited about him........but the glow has faded. I am glad he's playing better......just not glad enough to give him very much money against a tight cap.

Edit: JMHO:p

Dude. It's the NFL - no one stays healthy. But now that Ingram is, you can't argue the value of his production. Besides, the average time it takes a player to develop to "NFL readiness" is 3-4 years. You can argue that we gave too much to get him, but he's becoming the player Payton moved back into round 1 to secure.

Still think you're inferring waaay too much from what you've "observed" on the sidelines.

But you can rest easy because even if Loomis wanted to, there won't be enough money to over-pay him.

Ingram is gone. End of story. Thomas should be. Not worth the salary. It's Robinson's job to lose. Extend him with a raise but at a low rate. Cadet has the best hands on the team and is cheap. Pick up somebody in the draft. RB is never going to be the focal point of Payton's offense. It is what it is.
