whatever is going on with Colston this year worries me a lot more than anything about the younger guys at WR. What the hell happened to him this season?

Colston led the way with a team-high six catches on 10 targets for 80 yards. Stills finished as the team's second leading receiving, posting six catches for 68 yards on eight targets. Toon cracked the 40-yard mark again with three catches for 44 yards in a 30-14 defeat.

Honestly, and I almost can't believe I'm saying this, whatever is going on with Colston this year worries me a lot more than anything about the younger guys at WR. What the hell happened to him this season? I don't think it's a stretch to say his drops cost us at least 2 games and maybe more.

It's been so nice to see a viable return threat back there. Fredericks and Warren look like roster keepers. I like our receiving core and I still don't think we need to fine a "true number 1" receiver. If by some chance Colston isn't here next year, I think we'll be just fine with Still anchoring it down... and hopefully Toon continues to build on what he's done. Let's face it... we spread the ball around so much, I don't see the point. Stills and Cooks are more than capable of being consistent 80/1000 guys if we choose to utilize them in that manner.

We need a true #1 WR... not before addressing OL, LB or CB first, however. As was stated in another thread, Colston is a solid #2 or #3 WR now but at a greatly reduced salary.
