By BRETT TROXLER New Orleans Saints' Tony Bryant blocks a late fourth-quarter field goal attempt by Carolina Panthers' John Kasey Sunday, Jan. 2, in Charlotte, N.C. The block sealed the victory for New Orleans who defeated the Carolina Panthers 21-18. Negotiations continue between the Saints and the state of Louisiana on keeping the team in the Bayou State. Gov. Kathleen Blanco is expected to submit a proposal to keep the New Orleans Saints in Louisiana to team owner Tom Benson sometime next week, but some lawmakers are raising questions about just what the state plans to offer. http://2theadvocate.com/stories/0107...legis001.shtml |

Why is it that people in Baton Rouge dislike New Orleans so much? People in Springfield realize that without Chicago, there wouldn\'t be much to Springfield. Does LSU make people in BR feel more important? Does that City feel it deserves more b/c it\'s the seat of the State government and all of a quarter of the size of NO? I don\'t get it... never have.

I agree, it pisses me off. And I graduated from LSU. People think of the Saints as a joke around here. However, if you put a consistently winning product on the field, maybe public perception changes. How are we going to change peoples minds, going 8-8 every stinkin year???

Combining the penny pinchers in Baton Rouge with the now very greedy owner, things don\'t look good for all of us Saints fans. I hope Benson knows that if he leaves, no other city will stick with this team as much as we have, even with all the disappointments we\'ve had. I hope they can all work out somthing!!

Its always been a rivialry between the two cities... maybe it has something to do with the Saints in NO and not BR???? Saints effect NO more than they do BR, LSU effects BR more than it doesn NO. Simple so instead of looking out for one another BR things they can use the State since located in BR to help them vs. the Saints. What we need to do is more the capitol, lol.
