Free agent DT Barry Cofield hopes hip surgery to fix torn labrum can reinvigorate career
Know this guy is coming back from a serious injury, but I'd love to bring him along and let him help mentor John Jenkins... At full strength, Cofield would be a superb rotation nose tackle... And he's got the portfolio as a tough cat who gets it done... |

Re: PFF 2015 free agents
April 23: Tight end Colt Lyerla was cut by the Packers eight months ago, but is fully recovered from a knee injuryand is making a plea to NFL teams to give him a look. He's dealt with off-field issues, but has a high ceiling...
May 13: A second wave of free agency could start now that unrestricted free agents can sign with a new team without affecting the compensatory draft pick formula. May 13: Defensive lineman Corey Wootton worked out for the Lions, who are currently one player short of the 90-man roster limit. |

Re: PFF 2015 free agents
While I think we've got plenty of options at wide receiver, both for depth and development...
I would like to see us bring in another big (i.e. 6' 4"+) tight end... Really wanted us to draft late or make a priority free agent signing out of TE Brian Parker, Albany (NY)... |

Re: PFF 2015 free agents
Evans makes sense. beat that drum all off season already. has probably two more years left in the tank before he starts to decline. benefit of becoming a starter late ones career. top 5 OL anyone?
Tim Wright? watch him last year and he might be an ok addition. he was the key to the Logan Mankins cap causality trade (4th & Wright ). Plus the pats need a stop gap measure for Rob. Scott Chandler signing made him expendable and showed the Pats probably had little faith in him. But he was not all that bad either. I would rank it as a ho hum move myself. nothing great but not a sign of desperation at the TE position either. |
