If the defense stinks it up 2 seasons in a row then I agree he should go but right now we need to let it play out this year.
Why has he earned that? He has other bodies of work to pull from and they say that the anomaly is his first season here, not last season

The defense starts camp healthy, with some new faces and a bug chip on their shoulders.

I like Ryan's chances in 2015.

I think bringing in Allen has sent a message to Ryan that he needs to pull some rabbits out of his hat this year or it's Allen's defense next year.

I can see us allowing Ryan to make a couple other positional coaching changes and add a few pieces he hand picks within our budget and in the draft and if he can't piece together noticeable improvement he will be looking for work again. If he fails he may be pigeon holed as a guy who can't make it past year 3 anywhere and it will signal then end of him as a DC. He'll be back coaching D-line or LBers for his brother.
