Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
All little common sense goes a long way. |

Not just you, I feel the same way. An ILB that can contain the inside run while still have a decent grasp of playing in coverage and a well rounded OLB hat would open the door for Cam Jordan and Junior(Who I don't think will get suspended after reports the accuser fabricated her report) to rush the QB. Also, if we can get a DE opposite of Jordan that can disrupt plays on the outside that would be nice. I like Hicks but I like him more in the middle.

You can have all the damn CB's in the world but if you can't block for Brees and you can't stop the run... it really doesn't matter who you have at CB.
Start rebuilding at the OL and DL if you want to go back to a SB. |

Re: Ranking Saints needs: No. 1 cornerback
I think CB is easily the #1 need on defense. But that doesn't mean we don't need any front 7 help.
We need at least 1 good player to add to the D-line, LB's and secondary. |

It all starts up front. A CB is way down on my priority list.

Re: Ranking Saints needs: No. 1 cornerback
Obviously we need people up front but it doesn't matter if the opposing QB can just immediately toss the ball up for a completion. On the rare occasions we got pressure this year or when we all out blitzed it didn't matter because anyone besides Lewis was immediately beaten in coverage. Having a shutdown corner in the CB 2 slot gives the team the option to rush with four and all out blitz.

If I had to pick my poison so to speak I would rather have a stout front 7(run and pass) with decent to good CB. over a bad front 7(2013 Saints) with shutdown corners 24/7. I still wouldn't mind picking up a good to decent vet. in FA this season.

Excluding the legend that is Keenan Lewis of course.
