What he is however is our QB and is the best QB we have ever had and that\'s a fact, Jack. But on the field, he is one of eleven.

Here is one for you. I think if we had Peyton here, we would have a worst record.
Let\'s see...AB, All-pro how many times?...oh yeah, 0. League MVP how many times?....oh yeah, 0. The statement you made about AB being the best QB we have ever had would be accurate if you would have added at the end of the sentence the phrase, \"in his own mind!\" And, BTW, that remark about Peyton and us having a \"worst\" record with him....that was good for a chuckle. Keep \'em coming!!

This might be the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life. My computer screen is sparking from all the water that just sprayed out my mouth and nose when I read it. That was too good. I can only hope you were joking.

As for Brooks being the best qb ever, well, who would be the best rb ever? Prob Deuce. And who would be the best tackle ever? Prob Roaf, and who would be the best CB ever? Prob McKenzie. Best guard? Prob LeCharles. See a trend? Maybe due to the fact that the Saints have the BEST OFFENSIVE TALENT EVER AS A TEAM IN ITS HISTORY, some of the current players and recent players would go down as bests ever. That ain\'t saying much for a team with one playoff win and one trip even to the playoffs in the last 5 years with our \"best qb ever.\" David Carr is the Texans best qb ever and I bet he will see the playoffs before we do again. Not a good argument at all for Leon.

Don\'t care about David Carr the Texans, Randy Moss or the Pottsville Turds, AB is the best QB this organization has had in its history, fact Jack.

What I really love about all these get rid of Leon threads and posts is that none of the people posting such have proposed a valid plan of how to replace him and with whom. I have actually seen people suggest over the years that we drop brooks and pick a rookie in the draft and go with him. (See Eli Manning debates) Do you really want to go through a year with a rookie at QB or Bouman for that matter?

So, if you\'re in the get rid of Brooks crowd, don\'t just say dump him. Tell us who we should get and why he\'d be an upgrade. (btw, Brooks sux and this QB doesn\'t suck is not a valid argument.) Stop being posters who can only point out what they think is wrong but can\'t opine on how to realistcally fix it.

Maybe ScottyRO, jusy maybe, you are not reading all the posts, cause I can;t believe you have not seen the names Kitna, McMahon, Volek, Garrard and Maddox posted several times in several places as people to take over for Brooks. Then you get the, oh Kitna is this and McMahon is that and we won\'t get Brooks\' \"talent\" in return. That same talent that had me watching everyone but this team in the playoffs the last 4 years? You can take that \"talent\" elsewhere.

Secondly, if Leon is still making rookie mistakes, what is the problem with replacing him with a rookie? I fail to see how we lose on that one. I am sure a rookie can throw into double coverage and pass backward to linemen and underhand passes while in the grasp to opposing lbs, and fumble and throw 16 INTs and continue to turn the ball over in the red zone. Rookies do that all the time, not 5 year veterans, but ours does. God forbid we have a rookie who doesn\'t already think he is \"great\" and \"top 5\" come in and do that. Please.

And Eli Manning? That\'s your great example of not starting a rookie? What about Roethlisberger? How about that example? Eli\'s coach sat Warner cause their upcoming schedule had the Eagles, Steelers(who he almost beat) and Redskins on it. Teams with top defenses. Their line is so bad he took Warner out so he wouldn\'t get killed and let Eli take the pounding and he almost beat the best team in the NFL and outplayed Roethlisberger with less talent than Roth or Leon has. Another bad argument there. I would trade Eli for Leon right now straight up and never look back.

So since the people who post the keep Leon stances want him to stay, tell me when he\'s gonna stop fumbling, and throwing INTs, and turning the ball over in the red zone, and backing into the rush, and not audibling out of obvious blitzes and throwing his team under the bus and calling himself great without doing anything and throwing into double coverage and commitiing the most bone-headed plays of the year on ESPN? Tell me when that is gonna happen please so I can stop wanting to get rid of him.

Saintuary, what you say is 100% opinion. I think Archie is the best Saints qb ever. Opinion. So since it is not a fact at all just cause you say it, holds no water. Sorry.

Saintswhodi you should know everything here is opinion and time, Archie, Stabler(SB ring) and AB. Let the the stats (performance) say who\'s better. And if GB got AB, they(GB) would be better off than us. Bytheway, who would we haveas his replacement?

Replacements? Billy Volex or Jon Kitna as definites. Long shot? Drew Brees. Rookie? Alex Smith. Bring in to compete? Mike McMahon or David Garrard or Tommy Maddox.

And also, GB is better than us anyway. They shouldn\'t be, but they are. I doubt they win anything again if we sent Leon there. Brett Favre is one of the mosy humble guys in the NFL and owns up to his mistakes. No way would that team go fromt hat to a me first ego-maniac who blames everyone else.

I read the posts offering up these guys. You really think these are viable alternatives? Voleck, admittedly, COULD be, but if you think the Titans are just gonna let him go somewhere with McNair\'s health always being in question, you\'re fooling yourself.

Kitna might, and I mean might, give us as many wins as Brooks. There\'s no reason to suggest that he will. He failed in Seatlle and had one good year in Cinci before being replaced. I do think he\'d be a good guy to have on the team though.

You\'re right about Brees....long shot.

I don\'t know why anything you\'ve ever seen out of McMahon would suggest to you that he\'s capable of unseating Bouman, much less Brooks.

Maddox had one good year and it wasn\'t this one. In fact, Roethlisberger is a good example for how bad Maddox is. Maddox gets hurt and Ben comes in and lights things up. And as far as the Eli versus Ben thing mentioned above, find one post where Ben was ever mentioned as a serious candidate to come to the Saints. I\'ll bet I can find 10 Eli to Saints threads for every one you might find. That\'s why I used Eli in that example.

The other clowns I don\'t know.

NEXT!

Sorry Scotty just cause you dismiss them, doesn\'t make them less viable candidates in my mind. Hell I would see if the Titans wanted Brooks for Volek. Kitna I like cause he is a TEAM guy. Think Leon even knows what that word means?

I have seen McMahon play on teams in Detroit with NO talent and go out there and lay it on the line. After watching Leon go out there and go through the motions game after game with all the talent he has and has around him, and watching McMahon fight for every yard WITH his team when all they had was crap. showed me a lot. Now if you think the Lions had and have as much offensive talent as the Saints, I am not the one fooling myself unfortunately. Bring McMahon and his heart and TEAM attitude here, and I guarantee two more wins on that alone.

I wish Eli did come to the Saints. I wouldn\'t be complaining about our qb at all cause he WOULD be a rookie and WOULD be allowed to make rookie mistakes. I have yet to see a rookie that started in the last 4 years that has thrown a pass 20 yards backward to an offensive lineman. Have you?
