I don't see Lorig making this team, despite shallow depth at Tight End...

Now to call either a TE would not be fair to Watson or the others who do block. granted Josh is a better blocker than Jimmy. Ok puts more effort into it. or shows a willingness to block as the experts say.

I don't understand playing the position half way. :pissed:

Wouldn't save much cutting him. In fact it would save more cutting Johnson.

From my vantage, it was straight up effectiveness, getting on the field, making positive plays, more than cost-cutting...

Yeah, after reading up on our UDFA Guards I feel better. Not much though......we need to keep Drew upright.

Saints defensive outlook: Edge defenders, cornerback could receive facelift | NOLA.com

So Holder has Markus Pierce-Brewster (URFA) and Stephon Sanders (URFA) coming in as Inside Linebackers...

Wish guys could pick one last name and roll with it; yet another reason I'd never have made it as an equipment manager...

In that case you would cut Jarius Byrd.

I think Lorig is a better long term answer than Johnson.

Versatility wins.

Not a big fan of the Byrd signing, hoping he finally leaves the injury bug and plays a full season...

If you want versatility, Johnson looks like the better runner and he played linebacker at Tennessee, so there's that to consider...
