I keep seeing people saying that we're going to run the ball now.... Who's going to run it? I don't remember Ingram doing so well, and we just got rid of Thomas.
Also, don't new draft picks usually take a few years to really settle in? How's that going to help for this year? |

The kid earned his money.
Look at Brandon Cooks from last year. He was on his way to becoming a #1 receiver for the Saints when he got injured. You've also missed the point that Unger is a Pro Bowl caliber veteran when healthy. He will contribute immediately in every facet of the offense. Over the last 9 years the Saints offense is as predictable as a precision watch when it comes to Brees' pass attempts per game. Under 30, the team wins. Over 35, the team almost always loses. Clearly Payton has seen the light being steamrolled by the Cowboys last year. Run the ball, play action over the top. Protects your defense. Protects your QB. The Saints are not going to have a problem running the ball as long as all the pieces remain relatively healthy. SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |
