I haven't but think I will. That said, the other night on twitter he put up a score he got on some golf video game and asked if anyone could beat it. Dude is competitive with everything. I wouldn't even want to hang out with him because I just envision everything becoming a contest lol

In 2009 I heard that he and Jonathan Vilma went through stages of hating eachother in training camp because one day the offense would win and the next day the defense would, two ultra competitive guys that never wanted to lose.

Even the backup QB's say that Brees hates to lose any sort of contest.

Re: Now put the fear back into your QB

I'm starting to think we might not deserve him.

Two out of the last three years he's played with the most pathetic defenses I've ever seen. And I've been watching football since about 1962.

When the owners locked the players out Brees organized and PAID FOR a makeshift training camp! The man works his ass off and gives every thing he's got every game. He got the **** beat out him last year and got ZERO help from his so called defense and still led the league in passing yards and near the top in every other passing stat.

Yeah we need to shake him up a little. He's obviously resting on his laurels and getting fat on his big money contract that he doesn't deserve.

He's such an under achiever.

Watch from 2:00 to about 2:10, that's from the Rams game in 2010. Saints won that game 31-13. Bress threw for 221 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INTS but you wouldn't know from this clip. His motivation and will to win is one of the last things to worry about on this team.

I'm not opposed to drafting his replacement. That way Drew can have some influence on the youngster. I agree with protecting him and let him play his game. Last season it was as if Drew was not preparing the way he use to during the off season & during the season. Sean made mention of the entire team not preparing correctly. I'm guessing that will change dramatically this season.

I detect some sarcasm here. Am I right?

Re: Now put the fear back into your QB

Well, there was no strike for Drew to organize practices, workouts to show what an amazing leader he can be...

The only thing that I could see that may have affected Drew's influence on the team was if there was some resentment over the contract stuff...

I.E. Drew got Paid and There's Nothing Left For Us Kinda Thing...

And while there is some truth to that, he more than earned his, but that was my biggest concern was that his credibility would take a hit...

This past season, Brees did seem to take a couple of sacks where in previous years he would've thrown one of his bone-headed pick sixes...

If we can shorten the field (Defense gets turnovers) whereby we don't have to show every play in the playbook on a marathon drive, that should help...

The front office will never say it, but Grubbs was right there with Jason David as among the worse moves during tenure...

When you add that it was a kneejerk response to letting Carl Nicks go, to Tampa Bay, no less, it's really bad...

Though the premature contract extension for Junior Galette is closing fast as among the worst...

Brees has offered to renegotiate, but that would mean there would have to be more guaranteed money...

Sean Mickey Ireland has faced the reality that Brees age/decline will probably run out as the contract does...

And they'd rather be free of the Condon contract restrictiveness to make the necessary moves when that time comes...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
