Now put the fear back into your QB
You have accomplished putting the fear back into the players that are still left on this team... Now to me you have to put that same fear into Drew Brees.... He's just too comfortable. But can you blame him... Is there anything to play for. You have a trophy, the HOF is lock, and who is really putting pressure on him on our roster...... If you want the cerebral Brees back you are gonna have to ramp up the pressure on him too. Im thinking Brett Hundley would do that.... If you think back, when he was in ruts in San Diego... the Chargers brass selected Rivers... and Brees played some of his best San Diego ball... I think if we want the true Brees... we have to ramp that pressure up!!!!

Re: Now put the fear back into your QB
I think the guy brings his A-game week after week. He's never hurt and plays hurt, or if he's hurt you and I would never know it. What has changed drastically since 2010 is his pocket protection. Year after year it has diminished to nothing.
If you put the fear in him about anything it's to stop forcing balls when his pocket collapses in 2 or 3 seconds. Then again if he does that he takes the sack, then all fans will scream because he takes the sack too quickly or easily. It's a lose/lose with Drew or any other QB until the Saints offensive line is completely reinforced. |

As things stand our receivers and tight ends are not scaring teams
Take Colston and Ben Watson away from our TE/WR group and including Cooks everyone off them combined has Receptions 103,Yards 1162,TD 10. |

Re: Now put the fear back into your QB
I think adding Greg Jennings would give Brees a reliable, veteran presence to throw to who has played in complex schemes before.
He basically had no QB in Minnesota for a couple years, bring him here and I think he'd flourish in our system. |

Re: Now put the fear back into your QB
You say he's too accomplished, and nothing to play for. Do you think drafting a rookie will put fear in him?
He just like everyone else knows, they'll never bench him... Like Halo says; protect the man give him a decent run game(which they have worked on this off-season). Give him a defense that doesn't put pressure on him to score every series... And we have the old Drew back... |

We suppose to have that reliable player in Colston, I believe now since Kenny Stills been traded we need someone to stretch the field, maybe it's cooks, but I see him more like joe horn role with quick slants

Re: Now put the fear back into your QB
Play action to me has always been Brees best play. Only things that I didn't like last season was throwing behind recievers, his going through progression reads were not that great, bad decisions forcing the ball into double and triple coverage and looked for Graham way to ofter. At 36-37 years old, game managing might not be so bad but Brees being a gunslinger days are behind him after this season if not this season.

Jennings is at least a faster version with better hands, we need some leaders and I think his experience could help us in a huge way. |
