I don't mind the pick if it means he takes Strief's place...

I think Peat replaces Strief; Armstead is quicker which you need on the left side

Armstead will get moved to the right side...

Don't mind the move. Bringing in Spiller, Unger and now Peat has transformed our offence.

Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread

Hate it. Armstead has done perfectly fine at LT.

Put Peat at RT the slower tackle plays right

About like how the Vikings were destined to take Parker over Waynes?

Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread

LT Peat, LG Lelito, C Unger, RG Evans, RT Armstead

Glad to make your day, you must lead an exciting life...

Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread

Apparently Peat can put on more weight easily, so RT might be the logical choice.

I like the kid, but I feel like this was too high. On the other hand, once Cleveland took Shelton there wasn't really any sexy talent left.. I dunno. Feeling pretty ambivalent about it right now.. maybe leaning a little towards disappointed. Hoping for the best though. Potential is there for sure.

Welcome to Who Dat Nation Andrus.

Very interesting
Give Brees a clean pocket and you have a few years extra with him.

Strief contract can be dropped as a june first with no dead money or he stays the year and teaches. Too young tackles,All pro center,Pro bowl OG. See what happens at LG now

ChrisXVI 04-30-2015 08:46 PM

Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread

Why are y'all all about moving Armstead to RT? The guy's been damn good at LT... We just blew that pick on a RT who probably won't even beat out Strief in training camp.

spkb25 04-30-2015 08:46 PM

Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread

I just can't imagine he is taking Armistead's spot because Armistead has been solid. I mean, but now we have 3 good tackles

FinSaint 04-30-2015 08:47 PM

Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread

Either way now you have two young talented tackles who can take over for the other one at LT in case of injury.

Peat is a natural Left Tackle; when Armstead's contract comes due, he won't cost as much; Armstead could really open up that screen game on the right side...

Not a sexy pick, but grabbing a stud OT with the 13th pick is not a bad thing at all

It also counters what ATL did with selecting Beasley...

Peat was the number 1 rated o-lineman all year untill the start of the underwear games from jan-apr

He's not anywhere near being able to beat out our current starting tackles for the starting job. We blew that pick.

Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread

I trust our front office with Oline picks.. So i can deal with it. Last tackle drafted with the same exact pick was in 2005- Jammal Brown i think well make due.

That's probably the best summation of the selection...

I know it, if he plays left, is Armistead athletic enough to move inside or are we going to put that big ol boy to the right and mash people??
