Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread
To lead in tackles for the best defense according to statistics in the country. I think hell do alright. Pretty sure the kid had something to do with Vic Beasley's success by getting teams to 3rd down. An i dont consider this a reach because i see the same effect for junior. We need someone to blitz or someone that can stop the run and help in the passing game. Upgrade over lofton no doubt. Best pick of the day i think. Even if peat doesn't make huge impact next season he will develop nicely. Id rather make a splash with under the radar players. Then take chances on blockbuster names and becoming disappointed. These kids will play with hunger.

Can't really argue with having your defensive QB under contract for the next 5 years for a fairly affordable price.

I have a friend who's a panther/clemson fan and he claims that Anthony plays similar to luke. So if his statement is even close to true we did good

nfldraftscout.com compares Phillips to Dontari Poe, so I'd be very very happy if that ended up being the Saints' 2nd round pick.

Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread
I love both picks, it wasn't the players I wanted but they drafted the positions I wanted to see addressed so I'm happy with it. Drew isn't getting any younger and last year's OLine was a joke. Anthony will help the defense, which sucked last year. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings

Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread
With Bud Dupree still available at 13, I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed with Peat. I mean the guy is an OT, period, a one trick pony. Not to mention at 6'7", a move inside to Guard would, in my opinion be disastrous. Drew has enough trouble seeing over the line now, imagine how hard it would be for him to see over a 6'7" guard? Just don't see it, no pun intended. Add to that, the fact that we do very well picking O-Linemen in later rounds like 4-6. In addition to that, with your highest pick, you NEED to get IMMEDIATE IMPACT PLAYERS or STARTERS. Do you honestly believe this guy is going to be a day 1 starter? Personally I'm disappointed with this pick, but SP & Loomis do this every year so oh well.

Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread
I hear 13 would have been Shelton if Cleveland didn't grab him.
Peat is growing on me. It will take time... But Anthony I love. FINALLY I get my speedy LB!! |
Re: 2015 NFL Draft Day Discussion Thread
Definitely like the Anthony pick. Finally a quality LB pick.

Anthony also played some OLB that's probably what sold this guy to rob ryan.. I have a good feeling about him an last time I had a feeling like this was with Tracy Porter... Yeah I know a semi bust but cant forget the pick in the superbowl. So it was worth it. I like the picks cant wait until tomorrow. OG lets get it
