this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I am more excited about our rookies day after day. I'm still learning what they bring to the table and I have to say that our members give us some incredible write ups and video....

Re: Grade the OVERALL 2015 Saints draft?
I'd have to say B. The only problem I have is that with their first pick they mostly likely don't have a first year starter in Peat. I know he will be good for the future or in case of injury but I still feel like they could have gone another way there. Drafting someone else or moving back for extra picks and a later OT to groom or fill in on reps.
Also was hoping they could get a big body TE late for some goal line reps. |

Re: Grade the OVERALL 2015 Saints draft?
A-.
All the players fit our system, all have non-stop motors, leadership skills, fast and furious, and mostly on defense. Can't grade players until year 3 or later, but we can grade the prospects and I give our prospects an A-minus. There were no WTF's or square pegs for round holes anywhere. |

Peat is the reason i am at a C+. I need to see him handle speed in the NFL and improve to blocking at the second level to fit in our zone blocking scheme. he does that B+.

We should be grading the draft from 4 years ago. This one is an Incomplete until they start putting on the pads and playing some football or cleared of any murder charges lol.

Re: Grade the OVERALL 2015 Saints draft?
Added this guy at WR. Not sure how the difference in competition will hurt his game but decent tape and the NFL draft prospect break down is on point. Hopefully if he gets some route running tips he can be worth some positive plays.

Re: Grade the OVERALL 2015 Saints draft?
Really love our picks with only question mark being the third fifth-round selection (DB Damian Swann); so for the picks "A-"
As far as the management of the draft, still would have like to have moved up and drafted OLB Vic Beasley and used the second round pick on a right tackle (i.e. Jake Fisher)... And kidding around aside about Jeff Ireland taking a bathroom break while Sean Mickey moving back into the fifth - didn't understand the move, value nor need for that pick - "B-" So Overall Grade is a "B+" But, I think this draft grade can only go up and I suspect it will be a top five draft in Saints history... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Marques Colston came from a small program so it's certainly possible. |
