this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; If the O line improves, more time in the pocket will make the receiving corps better, much better. I think that's what hurt the most last year. Bree's didn't have time to spread the D....

And I enjoyed those reverses and flee flickers, but, in the NFL, that takes too long to develop and bad things happen. It was still fun to watch tho! |

Re: Our WR corps
You make a good point. Brees, with time, can make any WR look amazing. We've seen how our WRs that have left to join other teams, tend to disappear there (Meachem, Moore). It will be about the reps these young guys get wtih Brees and how fast they are able to get on the same page. And it's true, if Payton didn't feel comfortable with our young guys, he wouldn't have traded away Stills and Graham.

+1... Spot on. Just a week ago in his presser, Sean P did mention there were a guy or two that they targeted in the draft (however it didn't pan out), however he is quite confident that Jones and Coleman are progressing very nicely and are ready. I sure as hell won't second guess Sean P & I think he does see a lot of potential from those two young guys. Gotta develop and coach em up. |
