I doubt it. The league wants teams penalized when this happens, that way they are reluctant to give deals to these players.

If teams have to take the cap hit when a player misbehaves and they cut him, then they will be cautious about signing players with past misconduct.

If the league implements salary cap relief in these situations, teams would not hesitate to give players like this big contracts knowing they can get the relief.

I don't think I've ever seen something like that in my life. I'm sure with social media, it will happen again... but damn. That being said, with the way the NFL is, that cannot be good for his career. The Saints are definitely right in letting him go. He and everyone he associates with are a trainwreck.

Never seen anything like that in my life, what mistake it was giving that guy a huge amount of money.

Hopefully this "testimonial" he's written about our team keeps him out of the league.

Money, he'll soon find out, isn't everything.

He'll be cut from another team one day. He'll be in another altercation. He'll lose more and more respect.

Eventually Jr will only be surrounded by people who are ONLY about the money. And once it's gone, so he will be too.

I think their may be some truth to the Payton drug/alcohol abuse thing. I have suspected that for years and I have my reasons. That being said what a whiny *****. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole if I owned a team.
