Are the stats misleading, or are we missing it?
If you just look at the stats from the Baltimore game you may be lead to believe we played well and should have won. Here, go ahead and take a look, don't look at the score and tell me what you think.
New Orleans Saints vs. Baltimore Ravens - Box Score - August 13, 2015 - ESPN Some stats that stand out to me: Baltimore: 2.7 YPC 2 INTs 7-15 3rd downs 6 first downs from penalties NO: More total yards More yards per play No turn-overs Over 4 YPC Point being, we got lucky no serious injuries were reported, and although our 1s gave up a TD on the first drive let's remember IT TOOK 16 PLAYS to get there. Our brand-new defense did pretty well against an established veteran offense. Lets stop with the doom-and-gloom around here for awhile (at least until the 3rd preseason game). |
