this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; No matter how you feel about Terrell, the guy was a warrior yesterday. Terrell Owens was right...... If it would have been Brett Favre who came back from a serious injury that quickly, he would have been called a warrior ...

Terrell Owens is a Warrior
No matter how you feel about Terrell, the guy was a warrior yesterday.
Terrell Owens was right...... If it would have been Brett Favre who came back from a serious injury that quickly, he would have been called a warrior and we'd be hearing about it for years to come. But, because it was T.O., he was called selfish and it was suggested he was coming back to hog the spotlight in the super bowl. TO played great yesterday. While he wasn't 100%, he played better than most receivers and my hat is off to him. The media and the fans are quick to label someone as a selfish player. Some fans don't like a player who is a showboat. Some fans don't like a player because he doesn't fit their mold of how they think a player should carry themselves. Cory Dillion and Terrell Owens have both been labled as "selfish" player in their careers. Personally, I don't see it. And I'd be very happy to have either one of them on my team. If I'm gong to "follow" someone or if anyone could ever "inspire" me, it was T.O. The guy left it all on the field when he proabably shouldn't have been playing. Way to go T.O.!! |
