Defense can play 2/3 of game but it will fold in the last 1/3. Contain the pocket? whats that? NT get driven were ever the blocker wants to take them. So it is the same ol same ol that about sums it up |

Re: My positive Paulie take on things
I'll give my take on the game and both sides of the ball.
Offensively - As stated many times our play calling was suspect. I am not sure the fascination with the screens but they became very predictable. We played a top 5 defense and struggled against it. I thought pass protection was very good. It was our receivers who couldn't get the separation they needed. Robinson and Ingram ran with spark even when the holes didn't exist. Against a bad defense I think it looks a lot better. Defensively - I was impressed with the effort and production of Jordan and Kikaha. Williams was solid in the middle but Hicks and Jenkins were non-existent. It said volumes when Davison and Richardson are in on key downs late in the game. Anthony played well as did Swann. They stood out. Other than that I don't think I heard a back 7 player be named for a good reason. Breaux's pick was overshadowed by all of the penalties and times he was playing catch up to the game which I expected alot of our young players to do so he gets a pass. Overall I thought our defense did enough to get us a win. I expected we would drop this game and it played out pretty much what I figured. Tough, well coached team at home and I figured we would hang around and keep it close and lose a tight game. |

I don't see how you can blame Brees for any of what happened yesterday. If the receivers had caught half of the balls that hit them in the hands we would have won.
Seriously, they must have dropped 10 passes. |

Re: My positive Paulie take on things
Drew didn't look any different , except for he didn't want to turn the ball over took really safe throws but maybe that's because we only have 1 vertical threat, I say give Murphy some offensive touches I feel the defense would have to respect him more on a screen than Ingram who missed that wheel route he's not a receiving back

Re: My positive Paulie take on things
How grown ups can confuse the meaning between "loss" and "lost" is beyond me.
