If anyone wants to things of Cooks as a number 1 WR is a fool. We don't utilize an offense with a clear #1 WR. You get open when your number is called period. They even it out... you make a play when you are called.

I think Cooks is a deep threat and needs to be just that. He doesn't need to be a number one nor should we expect him to be. I don't see him as a possession WR even. We need him going for the shots that we take deep down field.

We could work on our run blocking off the line.

I'm surprised he hasn't been used more often down field. Payton used to love to streak Devry and Meach down the field almost every other play. It keeps the safeties honest and if the defense has a miscue it's a touchdown. I figured Cooks was going to be used more in that capacity. Too bad Stills didn't work out.

I am waiting on Spiller to return then we will have a better idea of what Cook will do as a WR.

It all rest on Spiller. I am betting the Atlanta game is the must game target for his return.

Yeah spiller is going to make a huge impact. Hes alot better than people think. A born natural runner. Its why SP is treating him with kid gloves I think, he knows he is great. He just needed a good team and OL to explode. Really amazing what he did on a crap team like Bills.

He might walk on water but if he's made of glass it won't matter.

-The punt was a horrible decision. Go down swinging with Drew. If you can't get 6 yards, you might as well pack it in. He lost last years team and I just don't see improvement.
-Cooks is a really good player. Injuries cut shot his rookie season and game 1 of season 2 he was almost invisible. I personally never see him as a #1 WR in the NFL.
-The Saints have some good young talent on defense. Not a fan of the coaching. And, they lack a dynamic player at any position. The "No Name" defense will never happen again in the current NFL where the rules strongly favors the offense. A great like Ronnie Lott wouldn't last in today's league. The safeties aren't allowed to hit anybody.
-The RB's will get more chances to catch the ball than run it in Payton's offense. No surprise there.
-It is it for Colston. Can't separate at all. Takes too many hits when he does catch it. Great Saint. Should go in the ring of fame while he's still playing.

Good grief, seriously?

After 1 game, on the road, against a Superbowl contender?

Wow.

Hes the best runner we have ever had I think, but your right if he gets hurt alot wont matter.
The thing to remember though is Bills have had one of the worse OL in the NFL for years, so its expected that he is going to take huge hits all day. He will take less hits here. He ran on a very tough to nearly imposible team to run with.
