Well maybe the real number is 50? Just saying we need an unbiased evaluation by the coaching staff. No more Brooks-Delholmme stuff.

Brees injured needs to be > backup healthy.


Assuming of course that we can protect him from further injury...

In 2009 Marc Bulger had a bruised -- but not torn -- the rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder. Bulger missed only one game.

He returned to action two weeks after suffering the injury and played the rest of the season.

Ben Roethlisburger had a "partially torn rotator cuff" but only missed 1 game due to an ankle injury, but probably rehabed the shoulder through that week.

I think we need to sit him this game no matter what...

You think panthers won't test that shoulder... I don't have confidence that he will avoid big hits.

Carolina will stack the box shutting the short stuff down daring Brees to throw. No win situation if u ask me. At least with a healthy qb. we stand a fighting chance. I say play Grayson and let him learn by fire. Who knows, we may win it don't have to be pretty and the Panthers have no game film on him.

I have a morbid feeling that Brees will throw a ball 40-50 yards hard downfield to prove everyone wrong ... and from there it's either going to be very good, or very bad.

That's the first thing I thought of because I will never forget it. We could have made the playoffs. I never understood that decision. Why stay in the game if you can't make the throws. It hurts the team and helps defenses out.
