TB also made the mistake of not running the ball consistently as that is Tennessee's biggest weakness. I actually thought we were not sweeping the bucs again, and would lose one or both games because the first being at home(I have 3-3 division). I was not surprised to see a 0-2 start. I at one point picked a 0-2 start that would end up 4-2(it depends if we can have a better offense than Atlanta week 6). However, if we lose this game to Carolina we will win the home game. So it doesn't matter. I always think it's the matchups not running out of strength winning so many games. We can go 0-3 and still beat Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Tennessee all at home, and at Washington or Philadelphia and end up 5-5 before the bye week. And if we win our last three home games and win in Atlanta we can get to 9-7. But honestly look at Indy. They are not this feared offense, jets defense beat them in their own place. We can certainly give them a game. So it is even possible we could go 6-4 before the bye. Am I overthinking? Maybe, but the two matchups we played are better than those games(minus Indy) due to one having weapons(yes bucs have weapons) and the other being at home and being well rounded. Giants have Odell and a crappy RBBC, Tennessee could pose a challenge if we don't run the ball, Philadelphia is learning why Bradford is a bad qb(can't spread the ball around, doesn't force it to Matthews), Washington has a bad qb, Atlanta will be on short rest and our most hated rival, and Dallas is without their two biggest players and have no stud running attack. |

Re: Brees Out versus Panthers
Hey lee909!
After McCown's first series of plays in the first quarter, as he walks back to the sidelines, lets hope Sean Payton isn't saying "You Stupid Boy"!! Hopefully he's saying "great touchdown pass Luke"! For some bizarre reason I'm actually looking forward to the game on Sunday. Guess its because there are a lot of unknown factors being thrown into this one which will be interesting to see! GEAUX SAINTS!! . . . . . . . WHO DAT!! |

Re: Brees Out versus Panthers
Please tell me why anyone is excited after the way Luke looked in preseason. I mean he isn't brunell, but I'm not expecting much. Hope I'm surprised but don't expect it. Now it is very possible the rest of the team steps up

So if we pull it off great. If not...no biggie.
Hell I remember this type of feeling back in the day when we were awful year in and year out. I never expected a win, but I was always excited to see if they could pull it off. Basically, expectations are low and optimism is high. Not so sure that's a feeling I wanna get used to again. I like expecting us to kick everyone's ass. So lets get a win with Luke and get Brees back next week! Time for a win streak!!! |

Wow. Really annoying. |

Sign Tebow, at least there would be something interesting to the season. Face facts it's Over! It was fun being the best team in the NFL for a long time just hope it doesn't take 40 years for it to come around again.

Re: Brees Out versus Panthers
So far from pre-season and the 2 games we have played I would be looking hard at the draft, our 2 G Lelito and Evans have been bruitilized ,I'm crossing my fingers on Lelito getting better as the season goes on but Evans better days are behind him, hopefully only1 gaurd is needed instead of 2 in the draft. RT will be needed in the draft also but I'm putting faith in Strief to go out as a warrior. Thats 2 definates on the front line that need to be drafted with the possibility of 3. 1 big body WR. late in the draft. On the D side a true NT and SS(Vacarro isn't the answer at SS). Jury(at least me) is still out on Anthony( I know most of u were sold on him, but I'm not) until he shows up consistantly. I do think he could do better in a 3-4 D but he's not the Vilmabeast and I don't see it in him. This FO has really blown alot of drafts but last seasons draft isn't to bad. If Armstead goes down or used for tradebait(I think he gets traded) Peat steps right in. C and LT are our only strenghts on the O-line, because Lelito can play C. No depth after that. What happened to Lemon?

Re: Brees Out versus Panthers
I'm a Tebow fan. He wins games, nothing pretty about the way he does it. Payton would never have him though. (Bash away) I would love this guy here. Faith goes a long way. And in a Saints uniform, go figure.
