Whole team sucks, but please, God, just fire that fat POS

Do you think Dennis Allen will be the answer because that's who will replace him. Allen was supposed to fix the things Rob couldn't and it looks like he hasn't helped one bit.

Well whatever they need to do to just get this defence playing some kind of good football they better do it quick or we are going to see a lot more score lines like this again this season!!!

Oh look! Atlanta won again in OT! Sigh!

Thursday nights game will be a nightmare for us if we play like this again! :-(

Oh well! Fingers crossed we can get something sorted out by then!!!

Ever the optimist!!! :-)

Sure SP won a Superbowl.....nearly 7 years ago...

We can't keep giving him a pass because of that

He, Rob Ryan and Loomis are all to blame for this mess!!

Re: For the love of Peat, FIRE RR

So lets completely blame the defense? The defense bailed Brees' butt out in the first half. Is our defense supposed to break their back for Drew? I'm sorry but the reason we have a ring is because we have a HOF QB. You think we will be the seahawks on defense and Bree is a game manager? That is not Brees' resume sorry. The oline and lack of weapons lost us this game. Lets quit looking at how the game ends and look at how the game began to get away. Two of those TDs were off of Brees' turnovers. Meaning without those turnovers eagles have 18 points. I am tired of the defense getting all the blame.

The oline and offense is our biggest problem! Fix the philosophy of our team this ain't no damn Dome Patrol!

Re: For the love of Peat, FIRE RR

Anyone has to be better than Rob Ryan at this point. His defensive play calls seem like it's too complicated and he rarely blitzes. Say what you will about Gregg Williams but he knew we sucked at getting to the QB on our own and he always called blitzes. Strief and Colston need to go soon.

So if Payton thinks that RR is that bad then don't you think he'd be gone already? This team is just bad...period...coaching down to the player...this Payton's team...he made the personnel decisions.

I said before the season and hated my own pre-negativity.
RR has a history of 1, maybe 2, good seasons as D-coordinator and it's all down hill after. We should have canned him after last season and brought in someone else.

Dude, are you really serious? We gave up 519 yards. How can you still make excuses for the defense? Yes Drew sucked today and gave them some points, but did you forget about the two interceptions we had in the redzone in the first half? This defense was swiss cheese all day. Receivers were completely uncontested down the middle. We couldn't stop the run against a team that sucks at running. We had zero pressure against a pitiful O-line. The defense is 100% to blame for their own suckage.

Are they alone? No. Drew is dreadful right now. He has zero pocket awareness. He consistently holds the ball too long and steps back into pressure, instead of up and away from it. And when he is legitimately pressured where he has no where to go, he holds the ball like a cigarette and fumbles.

We can't run block, and we only have two receivers who are worth anything. Don't make excuses for any of these guys.

Re: For the love of Peat, FIRE RR

Peat is an average rookie. Lelito is an average street FA. Unger is solid. Kelemete is a below average street FA. Strief has declined from good to bad in an offseason.

The only time Payton calls two running plays in a row is when he's down two scores.

Colston is done. Cooks is over rated. Snead is good.

Watson and Hill are backups at best on most NFL teams.

All the RB's are good. Each would flourish if they got more than one play at a time.

The defense can't rush the passer.

The LB's can't cover.

Breaux, Browner and Lewis compete.

Vaccaro is up and down.

Byrd is a good player if he can get/stay healthy.

I assume you are referring to Ellerbe & Hawthorne? Ellerbe was flat out awful today. Anthony is gonna be fine, however it's hard for him to do his job while trying to help others who are not in proper position to make plays.

We need better talent to complement the young guys. The D line is super soft.

Drew is playing dreadful this o-line plus drops this is his second game back Peat & Lelito were getting whipped all game 4 sacks three from Fletcher Cox Drew was just drinking lemonade in the pocket huh? Run Game WHAT Run Game? He didn't play perfect by far but this O-line was dreadful not Drew

Re: For the love of Peat, FIRE RR

So the defense gave up a bunch of yards in the first half, they also got two turnovers. The defense has done a much better job preventing TDs compared to last year. Yes, they give up yards but they have limited points the best they could. Week 1 they kept giving Brees the ball back and the saints could do nothing with it and eventually the cards burned us. Week 2, I know Brees was hurt. Brees used to be able to get a TD one out every two possessions. Things have changed. I know the defense needs to be better. But I am concerned about our offense.

I remember with the old saints offense, if they are able to put up points in the first half and have a lead over the other team, the defense eventually picks it up in the second half to put the game away. An example was the GB game in 08 and 14. NE in 09 also. The offense set up the defense. That's not how it is now. We want the defense to set up the offense. But here's something else however.............

We quit going for it! We could have went for it on 4th down at that goal line. Take that to Deke and Bobby before their show is over.

Another thing Payton doesn't obviously listen to the radio shows or read the forums during the season. If he did, he would see what we want. I think that's his kryptonite he doesn't have our interests at heart.

It's the scheme and coaching, not the players. This team has far more talent than any other year defensively yet they suck. Look to the coaching before you look to the players because every single player is playing the same and they all don't suck that bad; which leads to why coaching is the answer.

Build your team around your Big Guys and Muah Perfecto, O-line D-Line we need playmakers at least one on each side Cameron Jordan is starting to look average in the pass rush department he was invisible so was Kikaha Why was Hawthorne checking TE's Noticed Bobby didn't play Browner smh good pick though thanks to Bradford because he was Beat Swann and Breaux played ok we NEED A PASS RUSH consistently somebody anybody. Ellerbe looks slow I do think we are better than those numbers indicated But players need to be held accountable they're on the field at the end of the day

He was dreadful, buddy. The O-line has it's problems but Drew is playing like crap. You can't hold the ball all day. I keep bringing this up... Luke McCown went up against a far superior defense and played much better than what we've been seeing from Drew. He had the same line to work with. He stepped up or rolled out when he had to. He made his reads and threw to the open man, and didn't stare down receivers and take a nap in the pocket waiting for his guy to get open.

Drew has his own job to do. The line gets all the criticism it deserves. Drew should get no less treatment.

We've played other teams aside from Arizona. I haven't seen one person say our offense was blameless. But the defense isn't good. We've lost to the freaking Bucs, a Carolina team who was almost void of any offensive weapons, then we managed to barely beat the Cowboys' practice squad.

Then we all saw what happened today. The whole team is garbage right now.

he did not have the same line, he had evans and armistead, A. and B go back and watch the game. the online played way better that game.

Why the hell do you think we kept throwing in the flat, because we cant give enough time to let lays develop. you have lost your mind

He didn't have that line in this game, but he had it in the others, with the exception of Evans in the last game who, oh by the way, has played horribly. Yet what were the results?

Why the hell do I think we kept throwing the ball in the flat? Because he could barely throw the ball down the field. Did you miss that part? He has had time to do what he needs to do. Stop making lame excuses. I'm watching the same game as you, and he's not being pressured near to the degree some of you make it sound. He refuses to step into his lanes. He backed up into a couple of sacks. Linemen can't block guys all over the field. You have to help them out sometimes.

My mind is working just fine. Go back, yourself, and watch the Carolina game and see Luke moving around the Pocket. Go look at the other games with Drew and see him throwing wounded ducks. I'm in here agreeing with your original post, and suddenly you want to jump on my post because I'm not bowing to Drew? That gets old.
