I agree, I like Robinson's lower the head and go running style better. I'd like to see him get a lion's share for a game or two and see how it differs. I think Ingram is an average #1 back in this league and isn't a special player and the breakouts we have seen may be his ceiling. |

Re: Ingram, Ingram, Ingram
Well, he said the day he was drafted he's not that kind of back. He's no Deuce and he was right. General purpose RB, not good at anything really but not awful either. I was for drafting him but at the time, we had nobody and he dropped something like 8 spots from where he was projected. It was a rational safe thing to do at the time. Only thing that bothered me was that against stout defenses he got stuffed in college like LSU. When our line was better like his rookie year he was doing well until he got hurt.

Re: Ingram, Ingram, Ingram
Ingram is a good football player.
But he just doesnt excite me. I get much more pumped when Khiry Robinson gets the ball, and flies around like he has icy hot in his jock. It reminds me of a QB we had in the 80s named Dave Wilson. (not wade, Dave. Bum team.) D. Wilson had a classic build, good pedigree, Illinois, I think. Good mechanics. Probably a great student. Did everything right technically. He lines up behind center. 3 and out and not even a fight. In steps Bobby Hebert for mop-up duty. Hebert runs around like he's starting a riot, fights his way into a pocket, stiff-arms a LB, runs some more. Throws a cannon shot across the field, to a guy he had no business throwing to. Guy accidently catches it. Scores. We go FREAKIN NUTS! Saints lower the loss margin to 28. All I ever hear from guys my age about Bobby is negative now, but you're lyin arses were booing Dave Wilson, and screaming for Hebert to start, just like I was, and when he got in--- we thought, for good reason, that we had a shot. I think he's great, and i dont give a damn what yall think. Anyway, we like guys like Pierre Thomas, who FIGHT for it. Put the stupid Heisman Trophy in its case, your salary sheet in a desk, and let put the guys on the field who want to play FOOTBALL. |

Re: Ingram, Ingram, Ingram
The O-line means a lot but it certainly does not mean everything. The Cowboys let Murray go thinking they could plug anyone in. That hasn't worked for them so far.
Murray, for whatever reason, wasn't getting many touches with the Eagles until they played us... Of course. And we couldn't stop him. Ingram has no vision, and almost zero evasive skills. |

How can you show your vision and evasiveness when two lineman have their hands on you in the backfield. |

Re: Ingram, Ingram, Ingram
Ingram willed himself into the endzone on that last touchdown. He plays w a lot of heart - something the team has been missing up until the ATL game.

Re: Ingram, Ingram, Ingram
And people tore me to shreds when I hated them giving Ingram a new deal. He's back to his old tricks because he isn't playing to get a new contract like last year
