His problem was that he missed 20 games over the last two seasons he was here.

We've already established that as not being a good argument for comparison. Ingram has only finished 1 season without being hurt and missing multiple games.

Oh sorry. I must've missed the whole established part. I didn't realize missing 20 games in his last two seasons would be the same as missing 6 games over the same two seasons.

Reminder - He was held out the first 8 games of 2011, in Peyton's absence, for reasons unexplained. He was not injured. Undoubtedly he had a coaching beef, but whoever that coach was... He cost the Saints wins. First game back - 45-yd TD against the Falcons.

He was put on the Physically Unable to Play list for the first 6 games reportedly to rehab from a foot injury and a sports hernia procedure. He didn't play at all during the preseason that season and missed a lot of practice.

I didn't know about about the coaching beef. Who was it with and what was it about?

There was no coaching beef. It was reported several times that he fumbled in practice over and over again, and his pass protection needed a lot of work.

I actually saw him move a pile plenty of times even though he had zero room to run. I think his lack of production is more of an O line thing. KR isnt exactly lighting it up either. Ingram runs mean and nasty and gives 100%.
He is tough and gets a lot of momentum and for all we know Payton wants him to run straight at the defense just to wear them down.
I screamed about getting rid of Ingram until the middle of last year. Now I think I want him here.

Murray, for whatever reason, wasn't getting many touches with the Eagles until they played us... Of course. And we couldn't stop him. Ingram has no vision, and almost zero evasive skills.

No, we couldnt stop him because we have a ****ty run defense.

We keep Ingram and trade Ivory and look at what happened. I just do not see what SP sees in this guy.

What happened?

From another thread, same issue...

Simple Solution - Declare Mark Ingram has a Groin Injury, Sit Him...

Run Khiry Robinson and/or C.J. Spiller for a couple of games...

If you have more success, trade Ingram to the G'nats or dem' Cowboys for a King's Ransom...

If you still suck, get off Ingram's arse (though he goes down way to easy on first, initial contact), and sign/draft some road graders (like Clint Boling)...
