Fire Rob Ryan

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Pink-slipping the coordinator seems to be working pretty well for the Colts at this moment! Seriously, it's hard to imagine this defense getting much better unless we get a real defensive mind in the building. And it might need to ...

Seriously, it's hard to imagine this defense getting much better unless we get a real defensive mind in the building. And it might need to be the head coach for this team to get the picture. Pretty impressed with the improvement the Vikings defense has had under Zimmer; we need that kind of turnaround.

And cut Browner. I promise the defense won't be any worse.

Re: Fire Rob Ryan

Titans were ranked 31st in scoring through week 8. Guess what, they scored 34 points today on the road at our place, Marriota lighting us up as rookie, never pulling Brandon out of the game yada, yada.

Totally unacceptable.

Re: Fire Rob Ryan

I was heavily leaning towards him being fired after last season. He got another chance. Same results. I am in favor of firing him right now. Enough. Browner, he is who he is and that is what we got. No brainer right there. Stupid signing. I didn't get why you bring in a flag master. His penalties are so blatant. We will be getting a new DC. We are also not making the playoffs so might as well get one right now and get it over with.

Re: Fire Rob Ryan

Can't help but wonder from afar that there are two (2) schools of thought, philosophies about defense in the Saints organization (before Dennis Allen's arrival)...

Question I want asked, pressed by the media is "why did we draft and make moves for 3-4 personnel and then decide to reverse course after the Cam Jordan contract extension?"

This backstory is a best selling book among Saints' Nation right now...

Re: Fire Rob Ryan

I would like to go in the college direction for a new DC. I wouldn't mind giving the DC for Alabama a call, and whoever seen that game against LSU this weekend knows exactly what I'm talking about. I know LSU isn't an offensive juggernaut, but Fournette was averaging 190 yards a game and they held him to 36 yards. Most of those yards came from one good run. That's what a good DC does. Outstanding job.

Defense is young and now wounded. I keep Ryan. The game was lost by the TEAM. Special teams. Fumble....turns into points. Missed field goal....game goes into overtime. In scoring position....interception. Important drive...holding penalty by Cooks. Get off Ryans back. It's a whole team thing. Never did like scapegoating.

I wil not get off his back. He cannot put a constant product on the field. Before it was..wait..we are about to explode. And we did..for a whopping 2 weeks. Now last week and this week our DB's are back looking lost and a step behind. Our front line never even TOUCHED the QB??? How does that even even happen? I know the answer and I know a bunch on hear know the answer. Its called preperation, game planning. This was a 1-6 team. Do you see the Patriots or Greenbays of the world losing to 1-6 teams? Never.

Sorry but Rob needs to be fired immediately. The tackling was atrocious, we can't catch easy interceptions (Byrd and Kennan blunder), that TE for the Titans gets a gift and runs for 50 yards, Hawthorne in coverage on Harry Douglas and Browner ... Browner ... Browner, Jesus. Why this guy hasn't been benched is beyond my comprehension.

Not saying that Allen is the answer but it definitely isn't Rob. He has no game plan. We need serious help on defense & dysfunction starts at the top.

No we will not get off Rob's back . This is embarrassing.

One of the dumbest posts I have read in a while... of course teddy gives it a like... is that you teddy? Lol

If you only watched this single game then maybe all those excuses you made up would work, but this is nothing new for ryan. The last year and a half we have had the worst defense in the nfl, hell there are college D's that are better.
