Really? Are we going to act like he wasn't brought in to help? DC is a title that doesn't mean squat if you don't have full control.
His sole responsibility is to work with Rex Ryan which is why they are always side by side. I guess he's like some of the people who work under me....relatives of someone...Payton felt bad because he didn't have a job....sounds like what you are saying... |

Fire him....but if all of the defensive coaches don't go then you will be saying the same thing when the next DC walks in. |

I think because Dennis Allen was once a head coach (a bad one) people automatically assume he's calling the shots over Rob. There is no evidence of that. He's an assistant, period.
Rob doesn't run the 3-4 or 4-3 exclusively. He runs whatever he feels like. He thinks he's going to fool someone that way, and if you look at what's happening, it isn't exactly working. Everyone keeps trying to say we're running a system Rob doesn't want to run. What system does he run? Do you really know? The guy outmarts himself and everybody wants to give him a pass. I don't get it. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Re: The positive Rob Ryan thread
It was pretty much exactly the same. They beat the Cowboys in a game that year by a very similar score as the Saints vs. Giants game. It took 50 something points to win. And that whole year they were giving up 30 plus to everyone. And he had both Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil up front.

Re: The positive Rob Ryan thread
All the good ole' boys need to go, Johnson, Vitt, Allen. Ryan is great at lb.'ers, one of the best but a DC not so great. He took the job knowing he would be stuck with the good ole' boys wheather he liked it or not and things are not working so well. If any DC is stuck it;s going to be the same thing, either Payton wakes up or our D will continue to lose game after game after game no matter the talent we have on the D.
