Breaux has allowed 6 TD's and a 2 point conversion in 3 weeks

3 to Beckham, 2 on the same playcall
2 when he tripped defending TY Hilton
1 to Justin Hunter when he gave a 10 yard cushion on 1st and goal.

He may be better than Browner (which isn't difficult) but he hasn't exactly been a bright spark.

But after 8 games he was our 3rd highest rated player on our entire defense behind Cam Jordan and Kevin Williams.

I'd say that a pretty bright spark.

3rd highest rated player on the 31st ranked D in the league though.

Dizz, I gotta stick up for Breaux for these reasons and more...

First, this is, point of fact, his rookie season, his first NFL season...

Second, Payton and the defensive "brain trust" has flubbed it up until this recent draft when it comes to staffing, scheming the front seven...

Third, some dumb@$$, got the bright idea to give Cam Jordan a very near max contract and build our scheme around him - big mistake...

Fourth, even the backfield from last season was having to cover receivers waaaaay tooooo long because of a non-existent pass rush...

Not to mention the veteran teammates - Browner, Lewis, Byrd - have made so many gaffes keeping the opposition on the field...

You give professional football players that many multiple chances, well, even Revis gets burned when you take enough shots at him...
