Dizz, I gotta stick up for Breaux for these reasons and more...

First, this is, point of fact, his rookie season, his first NFL season...

Second, Payton and the defensive "brain trust" has flubbed it up until this recent draft when it comes to staffing, scheming the front seven...

Third, some dumb@$$, got the bright idea to give Cam Jordan a very near max contract and build our scheme around him - big mistake...

Fourth, even the backfield from last season was having to cover receivers waaaaay tooooo long because of a non-existent pass rush...

Not to mention the veteran teammates - Browner, Lewis, Byrd - have made so many gaffes keeping the opposition on the field...

You give professional football players that many multiple chances, well, even Revis gets burned when you take enough shots at him...

In what universe was it a mistake to sign Cam Jordan for 11 Mill a year. Thats tied for 7th in the league for per year average.
He is the best player on the defense by a mile. He is pretty good as a pass rusher and a great run defender. He has no help on the line so he gets all the attention of the defensive line.
Not that I care too much for PFF but, they have him rated as the number one edge defender.

Ho hum. As usual, just pointless game board pieces being played with. Nobody that will help. Bench Browner and replace him with ANYONE. That is the best way to improve the defense. The rest will have to wait for the off season.

The guys we're looking at aren't intended to be answers to this seasons problems.

They are simply evaluations of what they may or may not be able to offer to us in the future.

We're building a list of candidates for possible future employment, documenting their strengths and weaknesses to see if perhaps they may be a fit for a future role player.

The next Luke Kuechly isn't jumping from team to team trying to land a spot. This is bottom roster role player evaluation. Most are trying out for special teams or a spot on the 2016 camp roster.

Why can't people see that?

You had a whole off-season to find role players, and all of next off-season to find role players. These guys aren't good enough to be on a team this deep into the season, so what should we expect from them now, or in the future? These players stink, but we're looking at them anyway? Stop hoping for a diamond in the rough and do a better job evaluating talent BEFORE the season. Do you understand?

We see all this mindless crap going on mid-week, every week, but on the field (where it matters) they aren't smart enough to recognize who the worst player on the field is (Browner).

I don't care how much it goes on, and whether or not it "harms anything". I want to hear news about making adjustments on defense, especially as it pertains to Browner. That's why I say that these players won't help. It's not because I expect help to be out there, it's because there IS no help and we're spinning our wheels on a bunch of nobody's that frustrates me. It's tired news.

I totally agree. I mentioned in another post that Loomis has done a terrible job bringing us good players over the last several years. Then Loomis, I mean Danno, refuted my post with some idiotic question about firing the whole scouting department.
