Bump Jeff Ireland up as General Manager...

Have Ireland inform Sean that Johnson, Vitt, McMahon, Ingalls, Dalrymple will be dismissed...

If Sean Payton can't accept those changes, well...

Let him seek a compensation package with Dallas whereby the Saints get two (2) No. 1 picks and pick up any remaining Saints financial obligations re: Payton...

Saints then release the rights to Jerruh...

Bring Bill Parcells in as President and let him and Ireland hire the next head coach...

This is a plan I can support.
It starts with Loomis...

A good up-and-coming NFL defensive assistant would be a fine choice. I wonder if Belichick would let Matt Patricia interview for jobs. Also maybe a college guy could be good. Not a know-it-all like Greg Schiano but someone more like Bill O'Brien.

I dont think hiring a defensive coach as a head coach makes a bit of difference. We are still built as an offensive team and it would take yet another revamping to change that. Just because we have been sucking on defense does not mean we need a defensive minded head coach as I see posted over and over. What we need is a head coach who knows enough to take over offensive AND defensive play calling duties when his assistants arent getting it done.
Payton is dubbed an "offensive genius" but its obvious he knows abosolutely nothing about coaching defenses. There is no excuse for a head coach to let his defense get as bad as ours. He can blame it on staff all he wants but in the end he doesnt know what the hell is going on either.
We need a well rounded coach. Doesnt matter if he is an offensive or defensive coach but he better know how to call the shots on either side if he has to.

Our defense is dead last. That means Payton is not a good enough defensive coach to even get us to second to last.

The last thing we need to do is hire a defensive coach just for the sake of fixing our defense and wind up with the same problem just reversed.

Another thing, If Benson really did have all his facilities about him dont you think we would have heard something from him by now? At least an expression of dissapointment?

1. Demote Loomis to bean counter
2. Rip up contract for training camp at greenbrier
3. Every defensive coach fired
4. Trade Spiller and Browner
5. Cut Colston, Strief, Lelito, Hawthorne and Jenkins
6. Draft OG, DT, LB, WR and DE
7. Free agent OG, LB,

I understand all the emotional craziness right now. But I'm not going to freak out. So the year is tanked. But I have high hopes for next year.

First off, move Ireland up to GM? Like he was with Miami?

The Defense wasn't going to change overnight, that I kind of figured.
The O-Line got absolutely owned today Drew was on his heels running for his life. JJ Watts was like a Fox in a Hen House he pretty much tore it up.
Not seeing a Field General on Defense like Vilma used to do. I will admit the light that used to be in SP's eyes is fading to Black.

It won't be easy
Road games
@KC
@SD(better hope Rivers is gone)
@Ari(better hope Palmer gets his sb)
@SF(if they still suck)
@Dal(this will be a loss)

Home games
Den(no Manning but that defense)
Oakland(a rising qb)
Sea
StL
Det

Call that easy next year? We better go five-one in the division.

There's a new one.

Got any ideas? This grass doesn't look very green to me.

You serious or have you head up something.
If SP gets the Falcons job he will kick our ass all day, and you know that.

This is something I can't agree with you on, man. First I didn't see anyone use the word bust. Bust is a term for someone that never lived up to expectations. Payton was an elite coach once. I don't know if he ever will be again, but he isn't currently. And this goes back further than two years.

We haven't been a true contender since 2011. We had the bad year without Payton in 2012, then in '13 we made it back to the playoffs, but that was mainly due to the fact that we had one of those rare years where the defense actually showed up. The offense was ok, but not elite. We couldn't move the ball against top defenses, and that meant we couldn't compete in the playoffs with the likes of Seattle.

Remember back in the day when we never felt we were out of a game? Going back to that '11 season, we had this amazing offense all year, then when we faced the 49ers in the playoffs, we came out and did everything wrong. Fell behind 17-0 against a defense who was thought to be impenetrable, we had 5 freaking turnovers and a horrible defense. It looked like we were going to lose by 40 points. Yet we came all the way back to take the lead, only to have ol' Gregg and his boys blow it.

Those days have been gone since then. When we fall behind to any kind of a decent team (sometimes bad teams, too), we just clam up and get beat down. These last two years have been bad on all parts.

Sean, Mickey and all those guys have to change what they are doing. I agreed with the firing of Rob Ryan, though I knew full well it wasn't going to change anything this year. But Payton commented on it, saying "we can't continue with status quo", I believe were his words. Well... He needs to take his own advice. Status quo = stale and cold.
