IF we fire everyone after the season...with these salary cap issues?
Like someone said earlier, we'll be the NFC's version of the Browns for about 3 years minimum regardless if Brees is here or not because we won't be able to beat Scam & the Panthers OR Jameis & the Bucs OR Matty Slice & the FailClowns. If you can't win in your division, you're gonna be below .500 or worse. And we'll see Carolina, Tampa, & Freakin Georgia playing for the top spot in the division in that 3 year time span fighting over our dead carcass with that token "2 easy division wins against us". How sickening is that thought? Dystopian nightmare. |

Barry, we're already in last place in our division.

There is another problem which could be impacting the team operations is the family power struggle. They are all up there in their Sky Box wrestling around and duking it out. Meanwhile no one is watching the game and holding the Staff accountable.
I do see teams like the Patriots and Packers who stay competitive consistently despite free agency, injuries and scandals. |

The future of our franchise weather or not you want to admit it is questionable. There is an ownership scuffle and no matter how it turns out coming into an organization who is a mess at the top is not attractive. |

Re: What are your real expectations IF we fire everyone
I certainly know that. This year we picked 9 players in the draft. The Loomis/Payton Era has never picked more than 8 in any year. The most they have ever picked was 8, and that was in their first year in 2006. They are rebuilding without saying they are rebuilding.
If you fire everyone in the middle of a rebuilding project, the entire organization is set back a few years. That was just my opinion, though, and I was just expressing that. All I was doing was answering the question set forth in the thread...that's what my expectations would be if we fire everyone now or right after the season...we'd be in last place in our division for at least 3 years. |

Re: What are your real expectations IF we fire everyone
If that happens, Drew is gone and we are instantly in a better cap situation. While Drew is great and important, even at his advanced age, we can lose the same number of games as we do now with a QB not of Drew's caliber. This obviously means parlaying Drew into some sort of draft picks, if possible. And at this point of suckage with our current set of coaches, why not? Do we become the Cleveland Browns? Probably not, or are we already? 2017 is a better year for us, cap wise. So a new regime at the end of this football year could prove timely after all.

Re: What are your real expectations IF we fire everyone
Firing SP would be the dumbest move possible. You trust that he'll get things sorted out, he's been shown to be a consistent coach. He's just in the midst of a couple bad years. You don't just throw something out that has been shown to work. Your chances of righting the ship are much higher than going out and finding someone new.
